Se hai studiato con Gulli, non per questo devi sminuire gli altri, soprattutto con una definizione non condivisa dagli intenditori.

La migliore interpretazione di questo concerto in assoluto, non c'è confronto con quella di Accardo. Il Maestro Gulli, con il quale ho avuto il piacere di studiare quando avevo più o meno 11 anni a Siena, ha il perfetto bilanciamento tra tecnica ed interpretazione, tecnica impeccabile che però non soffoca la bellezza del suono anche nei passaggi più difficili, a differenza di Accardo buono tecnicamente pessimo musicalmente.

For some reason some old recordings have been reproduced in a way that makes them run at a pitch-heightening higher speed than what they originally were played at.

This does of course make the playing seem more brilliant than it actually 'should' (if it was reproduced with perfectly 'honest' authenticity).

Even so Franco Gulli is a - by me now just discovered! - gem of a player.

I just now realized that he plays great!

His phrasing and bowing!!!

I didn't take too much notice till now, because he misses out a chunk in the last movement, which put me off. I normally hear it from accardo and others a little, but i have heard it from him before, but only now I realize what's great about his interpretation.
