Also, Joel had a mega interest in history & actually said he would have become a history teacher if he had'nt become a rock star! The song refer's to events through Joel's life, from his birth to 1989. He has done an amazing job in putting them all together. Well deserved it's no. 1 chart position in the U.S back in 1989.
