@DirtyGhettoOmellete I've read that as well. Makes sense to me. We went there in late summer I think and there was actually some type of weed growing in it. That made it really hard to find because we were expecting a completely empty circle. But, I guess if you go around winter it would look creepier. Anyway, still a fun day trip.
fake...its not even dark 1:08 proves that special effects night vision was used...another thing, the growl comes from behind the group...and why does every suppsoedly real video seem to drop the camera the opposite dirction and leave no sight of the parafigure???
@PLEVEJOSE Actually, the night vision isn't a special effect. It is built into the camera, we were there at night, but the video is edited out of order. And the growl doesn't come from behind us, it was recorded separately after we got home. Just like the screaming. The camera dropping was real though and happened by accident.
@dualsweat I don't know if it is real or BS. I've read about natural things that could cause the circle, like a silo being on that spot for many years beforehand, or something in the soil. Could probably research "phenomena" like this and see if any scientists or whatever can explain these barren circles (I'm sure there are more than one) but it is definitely a creepy place and fun to visit. All these old NC places are.
This was some years ago, we got lost in the woods behind it because we didn't realize that crappy circle was actually it. There were weeds growing in it so it wasn't exactly barren. Slightly disappointing but we made the best of it.
