@Pepper2Jason Hi. JPJ used a Hohner Electra-Piano, a late 60's electric piano that was kind of a cross between a Wurli and a Rhodes. You can read about them on Wikipedia and find demos of them on YouTube. Of course they're nearly impossible to find and difficult to maintain.
I tried the Electra-Piano settings of Logic Studio's EVP88 virtual piano but it was hopeless. I heavily tweaked Logic's EVD6 virtual clavinet and added distortion and carefully adjusted EQ. I wish it sounded closer.
I can't start to tell you just how much this whole Virtual Zeppelin thing has done for me, I'll just kick back and wait til we get the next tune decided on. My call? Yours? Jun's? Jamie's, Frank? John? Anyway, whatever it is, I'm good to go. Anyway Karl, I just wanted to get back to you on this one and say Bravo my friend, Bravo!
Love the keyboard sound bit.. hoping for more Zep classics.. how 'bout No Quarter or In the Light..???? thanks for sharing and thanks for my fix lol ..
