In Iowa the ShunkaWarakin often described as a Primitive Hyena other sightings in different states like Montana Illinois Nebraska 1 person said he killed 1 it had yellow dark brown fur not like any wolfs in the area The body was sent to the National Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory in Oregon for genetic study the results were never published though
Dayton Texas has the monkey man of 1409. One night we were outside and saw this huge man walking down the road. He vanished into the woods across the street. But we could see his glowing red eyes. We called the sheriff and he said there have been several reports about the creature.
we have this little lake in massachusetts we call alby's, im not sure what town, but me and my friend and his dad were fishing there and we saw this thing in the water, three 1 foot tall humps moving in the water. we've named him Al.
I live in salisbury N.C. and one day i was in the woods and i looked up and somthing huge and white started running after me and i screamed and ran my friend ran out and found me he had grabbed his gun and tried shotting at it but it started running at us because i had ran up beside him as soon as we got to the edge of the woods it turned around but we are only 12 so we dont know of any species like that. It was huge white and we think it was a werewolf.
In my town we have an old legend of a girl, named Darcy who was killed by a man while selling girlscout cookies. They say her 2 doberman pinschers, sad at her loss turned into hellhounds and can easily be recognised by large red eyes, bloodcurdling noises, large size, and the murmur of "Darcy". We call them Darcy's Hounds of Hell
Here in New Mexico, WE have El Chupacabra. I've heard of it having wings, and not having wings, and even once a few folks tried to capture one, but it was obviously not successful.
In Oregon, we have 'Old Man River' which is a cross between a Sasquatch and a dog, not too different from the Virginia Wolfman. Old Man River likes to eat peoples' pets in the outdoors so watch out! The other thing we have is the whistling coyote, and according to Native American lore there are shape-shifters in the forest who stalk you at night, and if you are deep enough in the forest and whistle, they whistle back. I've done that before while camping and it works!!!
@tahitiluva me and my friends were camping once out in applegate and i saw these eyes out on this cliff side and it was dark. we had a dirt bike and a 4 wheeler and we tried to scare it away but it kept coming towards our camp and we even shot at it with the rifle and nothing worked and it kept creeping towards us for like an hour and we got to the point we all armed our selfs and moved all the food and garbage away from the camp. it was so scary i cant even describe it.
But we have one or two "cryptids". One popular part of folkore is the Bunyip, nowdays it's more of a folklore creature, but in colonial days, people thought it would be found. It is a water dweller by day, and is as large as a cow, with 4 legs and tusks and bellows at night. We also have the giant squid, which is a known animal that is relevant to cryptozoology.
not funny man i seen that huge as bird with my own eyes scared the hell out of me wing span of like 50ft huge ass beek i was home alone looked out the window and saw it flying in the clouds no airplane because they dont have long clawy feet
I'm in Michigan, and we have bigfoot and many more, including one I've seen personally. It's called the dogman by most people, and is a wolf-like creature capable of walking on its hind legs, though with a hunched posture. generally it's described as being brown or dark grey, but the one I saw was pure white, and quite beautiful.
Louisiana has the honey island swamp monster, Creature of the Finny Tribe a sea monster, red wolf (a werewolf i think), and we have the worlds only pink dolphin, also we have had multiple sightings of large cats like bengal tigers and panthers
@JAYTASTICROCKS Yeah, even little old Delaware has a small population of sasquatch, and the northern part of New Castle Co. around the delaware river/bay area had the jersey devil in the early part of the 1900's.
I Think You All Know What My Country Of Scotland Has. Yep. Loch Ness Monster. I Live Pretty Near Loch Ness But Can't Say I've Ever Seen It =/. But I'm Sure I Have Seen A Black Panther In Some Woods Near Me Though.
There is the Maryland Goatman but i would advise you to be careful bring a gun maybe because sightings have supposedly been known to be a violent altercation
Here in Georgia we got the Altamaha-ha (funny name, if you ask me.) Supposed to be in the Altamaha River. Apparently, it's like a snake about 10-50 feet long.
That.. that's about it, not much happens down here
I'm from Wisconsin and yes, you said Beast of Bray Road correctly.
The stories I've heard about the beast were that it looks like a very big wolf or dog, about 7 or 8 feet, that stands on it's hind legs. The only times I've heard of it being seen is when someone drove by something very large, wolf like, hold roadkill in it's front hands and eating it along roads in northern wisconsin.
I've heard one story about the Beast of Bray Road. A man passed something big on the side of the road and stopped later down the road. He got out of his car looked behind him and something was running at him. It was running very fast and when it was closer the man said it looked like a very big wolf running at him on his hind legs.
He got into his car as fast as he could and started driving. But before he was going something slammed down onto his trunk. When he got home he looked at his trunk and there were slash marks on it
