Where are you going to find all of the cars, buses, trains, planes and manpower to hunt down, arrest, process and deport so many people, even in the face of certain international condemnation? Do you purport to believe in family values as you permanently tear apart families? If this is indeed your plan, please act now as doing nothing is tacit approval of the status quo. It's not enough to sabotage a plan if you do not have a viable one to take its place.
So you're saying that the flood of illegals is a plan? Besides, if you take away the entire reason for them being here guess what.....the go home. But by allowing them to stay here at our cost and making it easier for them to be here won't ever work.
Senator DeMint is typical hypocrite. In order to find sponsor for work visa you need to be interviewed, but you can't come for interview because you don't have visa. Full circle. My friend from Europe planned to spend 4 weeks vacation with us and guess what? He couldn't get visa either.
If we repealed NAFTA, many of our economic and immigration problems that we share could begin to be remedied. I have friends on both the right and the left who oppose NAFTA for all of these reasons, but none of the politicians are talking about it. It is very frustrating.
The shame about all the immigration reforms that have been proposed is that none of them address the root of the problem, or why the immigrants are flooding this country from Mexico to begin with. NAFTA allowed big business to move millions of American jobs to Mexico, where they became abusive sweatshop jobs. In Mexico NAFTA pushed wages down and put millions of Mexican family farmers out of work, which is why so many are trying to cross the border.
People on both sides oppose these Z-visas. They are a bad deal for the immigrants too, since they don't really grant amnesty. They allow immigrants to work, but without any of the protections, rights, or benefits a citizen would have. It is a way to bring in a cheap labor pool for big business, and that is who it is meant to benefit to the detriment of all of us.

The U.S. has allowed more far more legal immigration than any other country in the world.
The problem is illegal immigration is 3 times higher than legal - and has been for too many years.
IF current laws were enforced, this problem of millions of illegals and all its social and financial consequenes would not have happened.
Enforce current laws now and we have the chance to fix it.
Start by going after the employers of illegals.
