If I'm not mistaken but didn't John Cena debut in mid 2002 & only 8 months later have a title shot against Brock Lesnar at Backlash 2003. But still had to pay his dues for another solid year after that before becoming a true main eventer. The same could be said for Sheamus. Sheamus made me stop watching ECW because I couldn't take it anymore, he came to Raw and quit watching Raw, now he's main eventing a PPV which makes me want to stop watching Smackdown just on principle. before I quit watching shows he was a part of I saw him a half dozen times and combined in all those matches he had one move, the uranagi backbreaker.
