Honda has always gone for complicated engines...VTEC is far from a simple engine setup...a switchover to another cam profile while operating...yet it has held up over time and older VTEC engines still work well.

Agreed...but quite frankly...a CSL just wouldn't have the demand as BMW determined. I see people driving around in M3s all the time as just a daily driver, a CSL wouldn't be comfortable enough for that (and yes...I think it's ridiculous) so they're putting it into the crap that people will spend money on

There was nothing wrong with the NSX's engine. What I'm saying is, because of Japanese laws (that have recently been rescinded) the maximum amount of power output from any Japanese-built road car was restricted to 206KW. Look at past EVOs, GTRs, WRX STIs, Supras etc. They'll all have 206KW.

Yes and all GM vehicles had a maximum engine size in the 60's Pontiac got around that by selling a bigger engine at the dealership seperate from the car. And the v6 in the NSX's was a bad engine, you can have lower power cars be fast, its all in the building of the motor , responsiveness, powerband, etc.

even as a german car guy i have always noticed hondas arent really that bad. the nsx actually looked GOOD (simply unbelievable for japan). not to mention the quality and fuel. toyota and honda are good,but i would easily take a mercedes or porsche though because they are beatiful, and if you shoot them, the bullets will bounce off instead of going through the car (PRIUS). diesels get more mpg (and 2.8 mil miles) , s lowers heart 5-6 bpms more than ls, and nothing is as entertaining as a porsche.
