@SmilezsBubs You can stop crying. In the end she (her family and handlers, really) didn't want to win. It would have meant beign forced to headline the 26 stop SGT Tour per the Performer contract. By that point Simon Cowell (his SYCO label) and David Foster were in talks with them and the deal was done to "let her out" -- Grimm would win, she would sign with SYCO and get Foster as her Producer (he's not with SYCO, remember, but the family love him), and she'd do limited AGT appearances.
About the final vote. It's my understanding that many many MANY of the people watching and voting are young women. I don't want to offend half the population but a lot of 'them' spend an inordinate amount of time reading romance novels. Michael Grimm is the stereotype that you see on the cover of those books. I could be wrong .. but I suspect that is the reason he won over Jackie.

MG won because the winner was decided by means of massive phone votes.There's no doubt in my mind that Jackie's voice is way more educated and at her young age, her potential is unlimited. BUT people voted for "the pop singer" over "the opera singer". I wouldn't be surprised that most of the voters were young females. If winners were decided by a table of KNOWLEDGEABLE judges, Jackie would have been the absolute winner. At least in my book, she is. You have no idea how blessed you are, Jackie.

She has a wonderful voice but she did not win this AGT . My Opinion, not all American like this opera type of song. If she choose another popular song she would probably garner more votes and win the AGT. This talent contest is supposed to be to find the best. I understand about Michael Grimm's circumstances and he is an excellent singer. I don't say this lightly but Jackie Evanco was clearly the very best and was the clear winner. It's sad when a person doesn't win because they are too good. This is exactly why I don't care for some of these talent shows because sometimes some people like Jackie who are clearly the best don't win because of the voting process. It's Connie Talbot all over again.

He's helping out his grandparents like he said he wanted to do(which I believe resonated with AGT viewers and was a reason why he won), and he just married his girlfriend of three years. He's an excellent singer or he would not have gotten as far as he did. Good for him that he won.

My only concern for this great talent is sometimes when it happens this young, they burn out before they are adults. If she's grounded with good parents which seems to be the case I'm sure she will be fine. She's a darling and talented beyond compare.
Jackie didn't win because the voting public felt sorry for the story of Michael Grimm and put him in the money. Jackie is more popular now than Michael would have and will ever been. She is still performing. Michael is stuck with only having to live off his winnings from winning the show and the short Vegas show deal he got which was only one year long. I have heard that it will not be renewed. Jackie's first CD went platinum.

Jackie didn't get where she is because she's cute and young, far from it. If you didn't see the person singing the song you would have thought that a seasoned opera singer around 35 or so was singing it. I doubt anyone would have guessed it was a 10 year old girl. I personally believe Jackie should have won the whole thing based on pure talent alone. Jackie's talent is incredibly unique and I guarantee you she works hard at her craft. She also has a warm, very charming personality.
I like her voice. She is really incredible. But I am not sure if I like that such a young girl gets so much attention by the world. It will give her a lot of pressure and maybe later disappointmen when nobody wants to see and hear her anymore. I hopw she does not crash like so many others kids-stars.

Jackie didn't win because the voting public felt sorry for the story of Michael Grimm and put him in the money. Jackie is more popular now than Michael would have and will ever been. She is still performing. Michael is stuck with only having to live off his winnings from winning the show and the short Vegas show deal he got which was only one year long. I have heard that it will not be renewed. Jackie's first CD went platinum.

@PaulW98Z Yeah that was my thinking too When I looked at his journey. With a voice like hers there's no way she would be ignored, so she would do great things but Michael is just another singer out there just like every other one. I guess in a way America did what is right.

WTF she didnt win, I can't believe this pure talent didn't win. ps. I just figured out about her from PBS chanel last night she was having a concert and they cover it. Oh she's just amazingly good. Oh WOOOWWW!!!

What the hell only singers win.Wake up singing isn 't the only talent in the world!Fighting gravity for instance: a bunch of creative students and an awesome performance ...they should have won!Jesus, why do people always vote someone who 's just cute and young instead of giving thje opportunity to these students to make theri dream come true , after all that hard work :/...well to some people i am wrong but....f.g. are special and i wish there were such great young talents in my country....

Jackie didn't get where she is because she's cute and young, far from it. If you didn't see the person singing the song you would have thought that a seasoned opera singer around 35 or so was singing it. I doubt anyone would have guessed it was a 10 year old girl. I personally believe Jackie should have won the whole thing based on pure talent alone. Jackie's talent is incredibly unique and I guarantee you she works hard at her craft. She also has a warm, very charming personality.

I like her voice. She is really incredible. But I am not sure if I like that such a young girl gets so much attention by the world. It will give her a lot of pressure and maybe later disappointmen when nobody wants to see and hear her anymore. I hopw she does not crash like so many others kids-stars.

@stktrader11 im actually 16, i made up an age so that i could watch the video's that are rated 18+
and i have nothing against the girl, she is amazing. i just wish that i could hear her sing without a constant clapping noise.

Jackie's music is wonderful and that's what you get in a live show.. a lot of clapping..especally when one is good as her.. but you know you can download her CD on ITune for about 6 bucks and there will be a new CD coming out soon.. Just remembe,r what you say can be forgoten but what you typeon the net stays for a long time unless you want to come back on and delete that statement and write something nicer.. we would appreciate it ..thanks.. :)

@stktrader11 I deleted my first comment. and I have already downloaded her music, but i still think live versions are always the best and the most pure. I think the crowd should do their clapping after the act, and not during. But still, thanks for your feedback/opinion.
