Gender discussions in the LGBT community provokes all sorts of anxieties--between males & females, also between heterosexuals/bisexuals/homosexuals.
Many lesbians don't consider MTF trans people as "truly female" especially if they transition into being lesbians. The politics with the trans community is also very complicated. Trans folk don't consider cross-dressers to really be trans & cross-dressers call themselves "male lesbians".

After watching this video,I googled Krissy Bates and found much less info than should be available on a crime like this.This girl had only been in Minn. a couple of months.The person on trial for her murder was her boyfriend.Arnold Darwin Waukazo, confessed to the crime per citypages. Waukazo waived his right to a jury trial. Instead, Senior Judge Allen Oliesky will hear testimony and issue the verdict.According to the Star tribune online. Even looking for this story I find very little.
Hey Paula, this is so sad. I'm sorry your friend was brutally murdered cuz of gender. All we can do is speaking out and try to educate people about what's going on in their own communities.
