This is the very first FPS I've EVER played, the second being Doom and the third being Heretic. Eradicator is a personal classic.

I really loved this game! It's a shame it never got more attention.

Now, while it is indeed "2.5D," I am pretty sure that it was not based of the Build engine. I haven't seen any official documents saying it was, anyway. Perhaps a bit more hands-on: I have extensive experience with modding both engines and the tools and methods are very, very different - and I've dabbled in many Build games. Also, I don't recall build's creator, Ken Silverman, being credited in Erad.

You are correct, this is not the Build engine. I somehow got that impression years and years ago and it must have stuck with me. I have corrected the description.

I don't think my collection is particularly great in number, but I've never taken catalog of everything. I do know, however, that these obscure FPS games make up a good portion of it and that I still have plenty more to record.

I was surprised at how good Eradicator was when I first played it, it is really quite inventive. It only suffers from some confusing level design. Best thing about it is its weapons.
