Alex Salmond is probably one of the greatest ministers not only in Scotland, but the whole UK, even some English people have expressed how they like his style and if he was leading England it would be in a better state.
I didn't know Portillo was this bad: Slagging off politically active students, using the discredited Brian Taylor to have a dig at Salmond and constantly trying to discredit him. I wonder how much the BBC paid him to do it? He's part of the disfunctional UK establishment that Salmond has spent his life trying to get Scotland out of. Best taken with a pinch of salt.
Even the politicians get weary with our constant chant of 'It's Scotland's oil!' Good, maybe they'll do something about it, like give us control of our resources and revenue streams. Oh, and by the way Michael old fruit, it's not the beastly ENglish we object to, they are quite often our friends and relatives, it's the London establishment that you represent that sticks in our craw. Away and cottage, old fruit!
Student politicians are weird, get a life? WTF? I thought politicians were meant to encourage us to be as politically active as possible, or is that only when we are voting the way they want us to? Portillo letting his prejudice peep through there. Bloody hypocrite!
Another typical show from the BBC shown completely from an English perspective. Yet again, and not for the first or last time, they completely misunderstand Scottish politics, the SNP and take a very selective reading of our recent history. Unionists are fighting battles from 10 years ago, what they don't realise is that if they don't get with reality and update their arguments, their beloved union won't be around to save for much longer.
