@SatansCheese To protect the girls from...Ninjas (?)...By releasing traps built into the house. You also have to keep up because the color code to use the traps changes, and if you miss the dialogue where they talk about changing it, you won't be able to use the traps.

It's a waste of time and was way overhyped by the media...The deaths aren't gory at all, and the girls pretty much dress like nuns the entire time by today's standards...And the gameplay is boring and stupid.

This game was so weird and difficult, but it was unlike any other game I'd ever played and still have ever played, plus it had killer monsters. It was strange because the game was not really fun to play, but I still wanted to play it to see the story from different angles. If you watch one thing in one room, you'll miss a different part in another room. That made the replay value very high.

@IwillKillYourCereal The game was recorded in the late 80's for Hasbro's own VHS (I am not joking, wonder how they'd make that work as while CD's are digital and can have interactive content VHS' are analog) game system called NEMO which was cancelled. When the Sega CD came a long they used the footage, only replaced some footage like the intro when he shows a Genesis controller, and finished the game. Sewer Shark was also made for the NEMO.

Superb game, so ridiculous and yet strangely fun at the same time. I mean come on, Sega Control Attack Team, S.C.A.T?! How did they get away with that?! Night Trap was made around 1984-1985 for a VHS-based system that got canned (the Hasbro NEMO), but then got shelved for several years until the 90s when CD-ROM technology made it possible and they dredged it up. Same for Sewer Shark. That's also why those games focus on a parallel structure rather than a branching structure, because it was designed around multi-tracked video tape and not random access storage.
