Straight Edge ethics have NOTHING to do with Christianity. Punk Rock, the genre that gave birth to this movement, is the most liberal genre in music. If you're a hillbilly, christian that has "ethics", but doesn't support same sex marriage or choice stick to that; don't claim to be Straight Edge, you kooks. If you live on either coast, don't drive a tractor, and your cousin is not also your dad, you can wear the label with pride.

Christcore assholes can suck my balls. Fuck, I made the choice to stay away from drugs of any kind but now I don't want to claim edge in the slightest. Pretty much agree with the dude in the bitter end shirt, the hardcore scene is nothing like back in the days of MacKaye and Rollins.

Being Straight Edge is so important to me. There are way too many people in my family that are total useless junkies and I hate it. I refuse to be like my father,uncles,aunts and cousins that have given their lives away to drug use.
also I agree with what that guy in the Muncipal Waste shirt that said at the end. People need to unite and stop this senseless violence that goes on in the straight edge scene

you know what i hate? my own brothers cant accept the fact i have decided to be straight edge.
here in New Zealand, 18 is the legal drinking age, and it is 'tradition' that you have 18 shots (of alcohol) on your 18th.
at the moment, im 16, and my 21 year old and 19 year old brothers tell me "everyone else does it", "its cool" blah blah blah... im like fuck you, i am who i am, and im proud that im not like everyone else, i HATE being like everyone else. MY LIFE - MY CHOICE.
