  • Good job you guys :)... one question, His wife- was that in his imagination? or did he actually have a wife?... The patient acted to calm i think, because if he's hallucinating about these spots, I think he should've acted more nuts!!! I'm doing this monologue for Stella Adler

  • @freedomland11 Funny you ask, because, during rehearsals, we actually got into discussions about the psychology of this character. It's sort of a combination of both reality and imagination. We decided that his wife is indeed real, but he, somehow, is subconsciously projecting her image onto these other women, which is why they share certain traits.

  • @SympathyForMonsters.. I read the entire play and it seemed to me that he's very frigidity when he mentions his wife. The monologue begins when he says "What am I trying to hide?....What am I....I'm not trying to hide anything"....That is in the middle of the play, so the character has already established himself with his nurse!! His wife seemed to be real, but at certain points he does fabricate things that never occurred. I'm gonna start out calm then work myself into nervousness. good idea??
