I don't think that integrating the window title and the menu bar is a problem. Just by looking at the maximized app running underneath, you know what it is... The OS doesn't need to tell you its name. In fact, I believe Win7 doesn't even show window titles anymore.
Additionally, if you have Klondike focused, and it said "Mines" at the top-most bar, it would be VERY confusing if I hovered and got Klondike's menu items, instead of Mines's!
What a horrible, horrible UI. Especially the dock (how that's better than an organized, heirarchical menu of programs with actual names rather than just icons you have to hover over one by one for the tooltips is beyond me) and hiding the applications' menus and putting them on the status bar instead of staying visible and on the application's window where they belong, among many other things (lack of visible scrollbars and the status bar at the top being the most annoying).
one thing I hated about unity in 10.10 was that right-clicking didn't work most of the time, so I quickly got frustrated about unity and switched to the default look of ubuntu...
also to reply to your annoyance about the launcher bar behaviour, I think Canonical should have implemented scrolling in the menu instead of dragging
Checking out Unity for the first time from this vid. I don't like what I see. It doesn't seem mature at all. I'm going to stick with 10.10 for now, and might even drop Ubuntu for another distro later.
Very nice review, much better than your original one. You've removed all the bad comments about win7-likeness, double menus and such. I agree with most, although sometimes the current implementation might be a better compromise than your proposed solution.
I especially agree about the dash. "download new software" is so prominent, which you will hardly use and has confusing names without description, while application categories are hidden in dropdown box and you'll use them all the time.
I hope you follow this up with the next release of Ubuntu. Would be great to hear your opinion on how things has evolved since then :)

Unity feels so rushed. Makes me wonder about the development of the rest of Ubuntu. Wonder how rushed that is.
Thanks for the video

Excellent video btw. I think I might switch back to Ubuntu when Oneiric Ocelot is released, so I can dual boot Gnome Shell and Unity.

Even it is like windows (I don't think it is myself)... It has one major difference: it is free:)

@whatistubeable
I'd say the one major difference is that it's GNU Linux. And Linux is just better, lol.
I haven't used Windows 7(on my PC, anyway), but compared to Vista Linux runs better in every way, except for Flash videos on some websites.

I'm using Ubuntu Classic desktop (Gnome 2.23.1). Unity feels very incomplete, buggy and lack of usability.

I agree with almost all other points.

Do you file bug reports for these things? Or Ubuntu Brainstorm ideas?
Links to those would be great addition to your video notes.

@xpawnrip "linux introduced the first time the workspaces and form that on every desktop environment has it."
What the fuck are you talking about?

@xpawnrip "...did you ever use linux?" What kind of vague and stupid question is that?

You should show this video to the Ubuntu team...
