@ctrymaus Thank you Joanna! Yes, it was beautiful scenery up there. It's a really lovely part of Australia. Keep going with the chunking - you'll get there! It took me ages, but once I finally got it, it became easy.
@fourteentwelve I'll keep practicing. :-) There are not a lot of songs I'd use that in, as I do a lot of folk songs and older songs. Isn't it a more modern technique?
@UnluckyMum Hi Caroline! I'm sorry to take a while to get back to you. I've been away from YouTube a bit. I'd love to play it with you too! It's a shame we're half a world apart. Maybe we could do a YouTube collaboration if you feel up for it? I hope you had a great Christmas too, and Happy New Year!!
@ukeyermind Thank you Shawn - I've certainly been getting around a bit lately. I've had a lot of adventures this last month - photos to come on Facebook in the next few days :)
@uke5417 Thank you so much Bruce! Yes, it did feel like everything was very right with the world up there. It's a really beautiful part of the country.
@russbuss415 Thank you Russ! Yes, it was a wonderful course. I learned heaps and after some very helpful guidance from our two instructors, the ukes turned out really nicely.
@paxukulele Thank you John! It seemed like the perfect opportunity for a video - probably the best scenery I'll ever get into a video (even though there was glass in between :))
That is so cool, to build a uke! And it sounds great, Michelle. The scenery is beautiful, and "Without You" sounds wonderful up there in the air, hehe. Always enjoy the listens. :) Janet
@onewomanandsomesongs Thank you so much Janet! It was a really wonderful uke building course. I learned so much, had a lot of fun, then came away with a really nice sounding instrument.
@siankummer Thank you so much Siany! it was fun building the uke, and I was so happy with the sound of it in the end as well. It keeps getting better too as the strings settle.
Oh Michelle! SO wish I had been there! Sorry I meant to msg you, and this video just jogged my awful memory. I've been out of town and was offered work that I simply couldn't turn down so didn't make it to the festival as planned. Hopefully once I'm back into the swing of things we can catch up when it suits? Love love love this video! Sounds like Cairns was wonderful. Much love and light to you. xoxo Sam
@samira169465 Hey Sam, I'm so sorry that you couldn't make it! You'll have to come up next year - it was so much fun. I meant to message you just before I left too, but time got away from me so I looked out for you there, but with 800 or so people, I wasn't sure if I'd missed you or if you weren't there. And yes, that would be lovely to catch up sometime when things are back to normal for you xox
@pfrogner Thank you Rick! The scenery was amazing! The video was very spontaneous. We ended up with a gondola to ourselves so thought let's do a video.
@BaronK69 Thank you very much Robin! It was really amazing up there. About an hour and a half ride up in the sky with two stops in the rainforest on the way.
Beautiful scenery! And I love the song. Why oh why can't I ever learn to chunk?? You've got it down so perfectly!

@ctrymaus I'm not really sure how long chunking has been around. I use it for songs that need some kind of a beat... sort of like percussion I guess.

@fourteentwelve I hope I can get as good as you some day. :-)
