To all of you, a question... A nine year old Brazilian girl was repeatedly raped by her step father and became pregnant with twins. Her doctors believed it was in the best interests of the girl to have an abortion. Would you put your own daughters life at risk to save the potential children of her rapist?
@evilgenius2003 Those are often a mis-diagnoses, and they are all equal lives. The unborn babies and the girl, and I'm not saying that the rape is ok, it is absolutely evil, but so is murder.
@crazyability So, yes... You would let your own daughter DIE to protect her rapists potential children... Of course if she dies, so do they... So you would prefer all three "equal lives" to end rather than save the only actual life... Interesting moral compass you have there... So, question time. And it is very very rare that someone will die without an abortion. and abortion sometimes causes girls to be suicidal.
@crazyability Diagnoses are usually correct. If they weren't, why would we go to doctors? What makes the unborn less important than a born person? Well for starters, the born person is actually a person. Until a fetus can survive outside the womb, it is not. By the way, pregnancy can also cause girls to be suicidal, especially when they are carrying their rapists seed!

@evilgenius2003 Well I don't know about you but I'd let god handle the situation, and if my kid died i would hate my self and wouldn't want to live anymore, but you need to understand that there are two lives involved, and killing one for something that might not even happen isn't right.
@crazyability If your hand was cut off in a horrible accident, would you let god handle that situation too? No, you wouldn't. You would go to the hospital and do whatever the doctors told you to. They sew it back on and you have a hand again, you leave it to god and everyone calls you stumpy for the rest of your life.(assuming you survived at all without medical care) God doesn't do anything to help you... Doctors do. Letting god handle the situation is just a way to avoid responsibility.

If you know that your god won't help you, why do you think it would help anyone else? Abortion is not avoiding responsibility, it is being responsible. Saving a 9 year old rape victim's life IS the responsible thing to do. Letting her die because you think that's what your god wants is just plain wrong.

But you want to force everyone to follow the rules of YOUR religion. You would let your own daughter die because of your faith, that's your decision. @crazyability Most places will not allow an abortion after 20 weeks unless it is medically necessary. 21 weeks (a little over five months) was the most premature baby to survive. The baby survived due to the hard work of a large medical team and the wonders of modern technology. The child has severe health problems, and continues to survive only because of modern medicine. Why doesn't your god help this poor suffering child?

@evilgenius2003 I do agree that a lot of Christians are just going by what they've heard and do rude things that aren't right, but I'm not one of them, and neither is the majority of Christians. I would never scream at girls getting abortions, but I would try to convince them out of it calmly. I wouldn't yell at a murderer in prison either, but I'd try to convince them that what they did was wrong. When you stand out in front of the clinic and try to talk women out of a medically necessary abortion, you are hurting them. When a woman wants a child more than anything, and god "lovingly crafts" her one that's missing a large portion of it's head, forcing her to carry to term is hurting her. I'm not totally sure about the whole medical thing, but it would be smartest not to kill a child that might not end your life but possibly could. I know I could NEVER do it, and would rather die with my baby than kill her/him just so I could live. And if I would die, but the baby might live, I would definitely give my life for my child. And you are informed by your doctor that you are six weeks pregnant... but that there is a problem and this pregnancy will most likely kill you and even if it doesn't, the fetus most likely won't make it to term... You can go home to your 3 kids and tell them mommy has to die to prove a point to god.

@crazyability That is not even close to an equal argument. An equivalent argument would be someone is in the hospital who has had their brain completely destroyed in an accident of some sort. Their body is being kept alive by a machine... Their brain stem is sort of intact, so they can feel pain. That person is dead. The humane thing to do is pull the plug. You would have them lay there on life support in agony and make their family watch. That's sick kid.

@crazyability If you really want to be "pro-life' why not do things to help people? This can include joining charities to raise money for medical research, or over-crowded orphanages. You could donate some time at the local women's shelter. Or, when you're old enough, you could really save lives by donating bone marrow, signing an organ donor card (which can save up to 12 people) and donating blood regularly. (you can save 3 lives every time you donate!) . Or you could study hard and be a Dr.

I'd like to do a tribute to all the unwanted children who, after they turned 18, were abandoned by the state and the staggering statistic of those who end up in jail or dead shortly there after. They're called verifiable statistics. There are more than half a million American children in foster care. 70% (some statistics say 80%) of the prison population have been through the foster care system. Children died of abuse more than five times as much as any other children and are 11 times more likely to commit suicide from mental disorders. I assume you're a Christian. The issue surrounding abortion (and indeed euthenasia) takes the stance that humans are somehow special. We are not. Homo Sapiens are part of the ape family. Pro-Abortion: Women have the right to decide what to do with their own bodies, and since the child is in their body they can have an abortion. If a woman was raped she may not want to have the child, so she has the right to end the pregnancy If having the baby would put the mother at risk, (meaning if she had the baby, and she were to die) then she can have an abortion. Many people argue over when the unborn baby actually becomes alive, none have yet to bring forth a clear answer.
Pro-Life: The unborn child is STILL a child! It is, and most definitely will be a sentient life! ending the unborn baby existence is then counted as murder.

Oh ok. By the way, did you ever watch Dr. Hovind's videos? He had made a series of VHS tapes, I think there were 6 tapes, back in 1993. My family bought and watched them the next year in 1994 when I was 10 years old. I looked up his site and he apparently has 7 DVDs, but if you buy the whole set there's 8 total, like one is some extra stuff or something. At some point I'd like to buy them.

Well for starters, the born person is actually a person. Until a fetus can survive outside the womb, it is not. @crazyability Most places will not allow an abortion after 20 weeks unless it is medically necessary. 21 weeks (a little over five months) was the most premature baby to survive. The baby survived due to the hard work of a large medical team and the wonders of modern technology. The child has severe health problems, and continues to survive only because of modern medicine. Their body is being kept alive by a machine... Their brain stem is sort of intact, so they can feel pain. That person is dead. The humane thing to do is pull the plug. You would have them lay there on life support in agony and make their family watch. That's sick kid.

You could donate some time at the local women's shelter. Or, when you're old enough, you could really save lives by donating bone marrow, signing an organ donor card (which can save up to 12 people) and donating blood regularly. (you can save 3 lives every time you donate!) . Or you could study hard and be a Dr.

You need to do some research about what is to be considered "alive" and "yet to exist"..i'm not sure if you have no college experience, or if you are a high school drop out that probably had a kid at freakin' age 16 or what, but whenever they conduct abortions-for the most part the thing is still a damn embryo and even when its a fetus, a heart-beat isn't present untill at least the 18th week..point is, the thing doesn't even have a consciousness OR a heartbeat, how is THAT considered "alive"?!

They're called verifiable statistics. There are more than half a million American children in foster care. 70% (some statistics say 80%) of the prison population have been through the foster care system. Children died of abuse more than five times as much as any other children and are 11 times more likely to commit suicide from mental disorders. I assume you're a Christian. The issue surrounding abortion (and indeed euthenasia) takes the stance that humans are somehow special. We are not. Homo Sapiens are part of the ape family. We wouldn;t give this level of debate to other animals within the animal kingdom. I'm glad I was not aborted, but if I was I would know nothing. look. not everybody who is pro-life is christian. you need to understand that people of all cultures and religions have their opinions, and that it's not just the U.S. that's partially against this. if the people you mentioned in your comment made the choice of having sex (protected or not), that's their problem, not ours. if the child isn't wanted, you give it up for ADOPTION, simple as that. so stop being such a pansy and get over the fact that some people have a different view on things.

I see no reason of making fun of the account name. And I say that ending abortion is the worse alternative. You did also say that "get over the fact that some people have a different view on things". Well you always have the choice to not abort, we need the choice to abortion, otherwise our opinion would be opressed and we wouldn't be able to not want our child. And as I belief, it's easier to abort a child rather than giving it away, particulary for women who have to face the birthphase anyhow.

Pro-Abortion: Women have the right to decide what to do with their own bodies, and since the child is in their body they can have an abortion. If a woman was raped she may not want to have the child, so she has the right to end the pregnancy If having the baby would put the mother at risk, (meaning if she had the baby, and she were to die) then she can have an abortion. Many people argue over when the unborn baby actually becomes alive, none have yet to bring forth a clear answer.

This was a very touching tribute. Thank you for posting this video. We must never give up in our quest to protect these innocent lives who are so carelessly discarded like trash amongst the roses. We as a nation are more concerned about animal life saving than child saving. Planned parenthood is a farce who sponges of federal funds to perform their heinous acts against the sanctity of life.

Oh, too true my friend! You bring up a very interesting point when you say that the United States is more adamant about protecting wildlife and fauna, than our own children. It sickens me to think of how many lives have been lost... but not even lost... TAKEN, KILLED, SLAUGHTERED, violently! This IS, and in essence SHOULD be treated as a war on children!

You know, I was dissapointed at Dr. Kent Hovind - a creation scientist - for getting arrested for not paying taxes. However, his reasons were that his money was going to support ungodly things like abortion, etc, so he may have a point.

He was arrested for not taking taxes out from his employees paychecks or reporting their earnings...They couldn't do anything about him not paying taxes for his own income..There is no law on the books that says you have to pay tax on your own income..Thats why Wesley Snipes is not in jail

Oh ok. By the way, did you ever watch Dr. Hovind's videos? He had made a series of VHS tapes, I think there were 6 tapes, back in 1993. My family bought and watched them the next year in 1994 when I was 10 years old. I looked up his site and he apparently has 7 DVDs, but if you buy the whole set there's 8 total, like one is some extra stuff or something. At some point I'd like to buy them.

I hate it when that lump forms in my throat. With a slight quiver in my voice, I call "honey come look at this" of course this video invoked tears in her eyes. After the vid, I cant help but wonder. Has the person with the cure for cancer been lost. Has the person with the answer for free clean energy been lost. Has the great artist been lost. If you wrote this poem, thank God you are here with us.

Yes, I indeed wrote this poem. When I set out on the endeavor to make this video accompanying my poem I tried for the express purpose of making people feel something. I, myself, did shed many tears in making this.
Sometimes those exact questions race through my mind. Who is being killed? Is there a next President being slaughtered even as I think this? But then, what does it matter if it is a GREAT mind. Every mind matters to me! Thank you for commenting.
