Yiehs--at ''00:43'' that was a real EMMY-nominee huge lightning bolt and thunderclap..I love it too, Jonas..and so glad you do too..BTW..I did see a lightning flash here at 430am on this 1/12/11...after getting 7 inches of wet snow...no thunder though. I did videotape the heavy snow later...will try to upload it soon..I'll get to your nice 'letter'.

Where was this video taken? I was struck by lightning on 6/20/95 in a severe thunderstorm in SE Massachusetts! Some of the worst thunderstroms I have ever been in (we don't get many)....nickel size hail and 55mph winds!

This coolsome Tstorm with a huge CG-bolt was videotaped here in southern RI, Brian((Feb 8 1978))..So sorry you were hit by a CG-bolt same same day... Normally SE Mass seldom gets big Tstorms all because of the proximity of the Tstorm-depleting sea breezes. Perhaps --- you may remember some of my other uploaded-YouTube Tstorm videos..such as my 7/18/06-lightning spectacle Tstorm...and maybe even my 7/28/89-Tstorm as well..although I think you were only 11 then.

Nice work. That one at :43 is great. You really should get a DVD recorder. You could put all of your tapes on DVD and work with them on the computer. Sound and video quality would be phenomenal.

TYSVVVM, George..... hard to believe this awesome videotaped-CG/thunderclap was 1/8th of a century ago already this video was taken..... also..love the sky scape at end. BTW---hope your place survived the recent ice storms recently, George.

We lucked out and the ice storm wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. We got around three inches of snow over night. I got my snow blower out and did my driveway and Ken's too!!

Excellent, George... so glad you did just fine vs. the recent nasty ice storms...as it has been said..some places have been more paralyzed by only one inch of ice than that of 40 inches of snow or any major tornado outbreaks~~!!
