  • Simply awesome. Great Song and above all one of the best ever Marathi Movie....

  • Gosh, I was so little when I used to hear these songs in Mumbai... now I can't remember the language nor the lyrics.. but when I accidentally find the melody the memories come back rushing... can't express the feeling it feels so good

  • Sudhir Phadke to my knowledge did not use Lata's voice more than 4-5 songs, that too not much popular except Jyoti Kalash Zalake

  • pls I don't won't 2 hear this song....it get;s out the deepest of my emotions out in open that i wanna supress!!

  • gaadhav aahet .......who disliked

  • two dislikes ??? go n watch bollywood cheapster u filthy scroundals!!! In case u are unfamilier with English, here u go...Marathit, tumachya aaichi gxxxd....

  • if I mistake not this beautiful composition is by Bhaskar Chandavarkar. One of the rare and reminds us of Bees Saal Baad song wherein camera is turne on several faces (Kahin deep jale kahin dil)

  • sunder gane fhar avadato juna athavan hoto (chicago)

  • this is awasome

  • Is the playback singer Lata Mangeshkar alias Anandghan?

  • I kind of guessed it was...Lataji is my favourite playback singer of ALL time!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mughaleazamfan,

Yes, U R right. Lataji used the pseudonym of 'Anandghan' when she composed beautiful/heavenly music 4 some Marathi films in the 60's. 1960 - Ram Ram Pavhana 1963 - Maratha Tituka Melvava 1963 - Mohityanchi Manjula 1965 - Saadi Manase 1969 - Tambadi Mati

It is a little known aspect of her divine talent. 1 of my favourite songs is 'Airanicha deva tula.....krupa tujhi rahu de' frm the film 'Saadi Maanse' filmed on Jayshree Gadkar! for which Lataji won Mah Govt.best Music director

  • @patriot23357 Thanks 4 ur info...I hv heard Airanicya Deva Tula, and I think it's a beautiful song with all the Marathi folk tunes, but my personal favourite Marathi songs by Lataji are Bai Bai Manmoracya from Mohityanchi Manjula, Mee Raat Takli from Jait Re Jait, Sakhya Re Ghayal Mee Harini from Saamna n d songs frm Umbartha (Gagana Sadana, Soonya Soonya Maifilit Majhya n Chand Matala)...cheers...

  • @mughaleazamfan,

I was referring to Marathi songs sung and composed by Lataji herself. The songs listed by you are all 'gems' undoubtedly with music by Lataji, Hridaynath-ji Mangeshkar, and Bhaskar Chandavarkar. I know there are lots of other music directors like Sudhir Phadke, Ram Kadam who have used Latraji's ethereal voice in some of the movies they composed music for mainly in the 50's and the 60's. If some fan can kindly provide a list or a link to such songs, would be wonderful. Thanks VM.

  • @mughaleazamfan YEAH

  • Saamana..One of the best movie I ever seen!!

  • The camera movement at 2:44 is astounding, considering that we didn't have camera stands allowing such movements- then!!

  • @damleyogesh : fine observation!

  • baghu naka.... fakta aika :P

    apratim gana!

  • Just close your eyes and listen to the marvellous voice... the rest doesn't matter...

  • what a hauntingly beautiful movie and Nilu Phule was the best, the dancer is so graceful and indicative of the culture that shows off power through engagement of graceful talented laavni dancers for personal pleasure.... personal as they are engaged at home and the home has to be equally lavish... isnt it universal this need to acquire and collect the best for personal collection... however when it is a human with a mind that challenges and mocks the pleasure is even greater

  • The song is hauntingly beautiful, thanks for putting it up. Unfortunately, the dancing doesn't really fit in with the sombre mood.

  • Good one, i am writing from Training8m, Gold Coast Australia, keep it up.. cheers

  • You wouldn't understand the video or dance unless you saw the movie. It's actually a flashback on how Nilu Phule has murdered the guy. So the song serves as a backdrop for the flashback....

  • The video spoils the effect of the song.

  • Very nice song with deep sense

  • nice song with deep sense

  • song is too good, but dance makes no sense..LOL

  • that was a really nice and beautifully composed song

  • Dear Pady
