I believe this was from a local Houston TV station and was not shown over a network.
Of course, there were a couple of times over the years when astronauts' return to Houston would be shown live by the networks, mostly the Apollo 8 and 11 crews.
Just wanted to give a big 'thank you' for posting the videos regarding Apollo 16 and 17 TV news coverage, along with the rest. These are just fabulous! A real eye-operner to see how space flights were covered compared to now. Keep up great work and always look forward to your postings.
Hopefully SLS will get built, wonder about the last shuttle mission crew reception was like
