The regular Boss 302 humiliated the reg M3 by 25 car lengths in just one lap of Laguna Seca. The $170,000 GTS turnkey racer wouldn't help much. The GTS is heavier than BMW is claiming. AUTOCAR and 5TH Gear both got a 4.4 sec 0-62. That's as slow as a reg Mustang GT. The street legal Boss Laguna would further embarrass it.
You want a factory turnkey racer? Ford's base turnkey racer is the Boss 302S. Then there's the ultimate track toy Boss 302R1 also available from the Ford dealer for $129,000.
@acs4llc It did ... BMW should offer R-tires on it default (so it's not considered modded), and pop the DCT in there, and it's a different story? My old 325ci with M-tech and sticky tries cornered better than a 911, but could not keep up on straight ... It's very cheap way to make the car faster on a track, but not sure how the mileage would be with those tires on normal driving. (btw M3 E92/DCT 3.9 0-60, 4.4s 0-60 is what BMW state for GTS (4.6 for M3 DCT, 4.8 for M3 6M)

@acs4llc DCT is 45lb more, not 419lb (I guess you might have added a number by mistake), M3 GTS is 3371lb/450bhp (should be faster than 302, but it does cost $). People have weight in there M3 E92 w/DCT and fuel between 3600-3700, so I think that number is fairly correct. I think mfg for 302 is 4.5 (mag always get better). 4000lb seems strange, that's same as M5 (perhaps they meant M5?)

BMW says an M DCT–equipped M3 coupe carries around an additional 419 pounds. What they are saying is that M3 Coupe DCT weight 419 more than M3 GTS ... not that DCT weight 419lb ... (M3 GTS = 1530kg = 3373lb)
Well it's 319lb more, I think they got another 100lb added by mistake.

UnladenweightEU : 1655[1675] - 3648[3692]
0-62 : 4.8[4.6] - due to launch + lower 2nd
0-200 : 15.8[14.9] - due to faster gear / closer ratio
80-120 4th : 4.9[4.2] - due to DCT 4'th is lower than M-4
[ ] - numbers for DCT
So 1675 - 1655 = 20kg or 44lb
Hope that clear it up (not sure why they could not find it, it's right there in the tech data), just had to convert from kg to lb
