Oh, excuse me.  This isn't the MET. But still, these people sing there also.

More to the point will God help him stop cracking, pulling out of Met performances, and acting on stage like a high camp vision of a tenor. It might be nice if he avoided leaving high notes out also. The man does have a very great and very abused gift. He's well on the way to burning out in less time than DiStefano did. Not a potential record anyone should aspire to.

This duet is wonderful, but most tenors can't sing it, and even if they do get through it, they have no voice left for the final scene. Still, this is embarassing and unworthy of the MET. Thirty years ago this tenor would have been a barely acceptable Arturo for the NYC Opera, and this comprimario who sings Enrico, well, why be unnecessarily cruel? Who allows such people to sing the first repertory in this house??!!

Did you know that the author of the Croatian national anthem actually used the melody O sole piu ratto at 7:45 ?

Yes, it is and I am very proud I can say that our anthem was composed by Donizetti :)
