I had trouble with my prius. I kept getting an error saying check the connection of the air conditioner. after running this diagnostic check i was able to fix this annoying problem. Thanks!
@k3bab if you pay 200 per hour on labour for any standard car then you are an idiot (no offense to you). My highest service bill was about $300 Australian and that was a major service that lasted 2 hours and included filters, new fluids. It was done in the toyota dealership. It is much cheaper to service a prius than a standard ICE because the prius ICE doesn't work very hard. It's the electric motor that does all the pulling work during acceleration.
@LOLDISNEYLAND My services are usually around $30 for oil and filter change. Hell, the only odd bill I have had in 4 years was $120 to replace the front breaks. That's it! That's on my 05 Taurus with 200k miles on it. I hope your $170 services aren't actually normal!! I already know this is one car I'm never buying, but wow that's a high service bill!
@mattg889 30 bucks? Can't even buy 5 litres of engine oil for $30 in australia. an oil filter is about $10 to $15. then labour is expensive. At minimum $20 per hour.
@LOLDISNEYLAND The mechanic I use charges $65 per hour. But he charges a flat rate of $30 for the oil and filter change since it takes him about 10 minutes of work to change it. I can do it my self for about $25.
The 2004 Model I used for this video doesn't have a camera in the back. it doesn't have a rear wiper, Bluetooth, aux jack, smart keys, side airbags or the low tire pressure indicator light that our 2007 Prius has.
@jdcb42 Isn't it?! Can't WAIT to get my hands on one, I'm sure you have checked out the phev and ev mode mods, if not, you should, they made me want a prius like, 50 times more
I knew how to do this on the 2009 Prius now if I can only figure out how to get to the option to change the country code and make save it so that the car will display the Temp. on C(Metric).
Yes, you can. Unfortunately, I can't link directly to the page on youtube(for spam blocking), but if you type "Prius Diagnostic Mode" in a google search, it's the first result. It's the link that says "Toyota Prius Controls" if the first result ever changes.
Can you tel me something about the override on my Prius 2006
