  • Wow... She has a nice voice!

  • Also this is fantastic.

  • I love how completely unscientific the narrator is, basically just making stuff up.

  • "the size of a domino" hehe

  • 2:10 grandma dubstep

  • i actually got an LP from her

  • my girlfriend doesn't moan like that when I give her a quarter.

  • @izdatmee youre putting it in the wrong hole..

  • Why did beardy like this dated shit?

  • @NotInMyName2012 Seriously? What a stupid question... Please go away from my internet..

  • @realzug prick!

  • @NotInMyName2012 because she basicly has the first kaoss pad ever.

  • @stephen88hox I am old enough to remember and it is very old news to me that was my point. At least you did not claim ownership of the internet like that prick 'realzug'. Peace :-)

  • @stephen88hox kaoss pad ? thats a combination of many modular synth and other analog electronic instrument. Its not just because she recorded her voice he like it and im pretty sure its the whole analog thing.

  • @NotInMyName2012 with out this dated shit you wouldn't be listening to the current shit.

  • @intosh0812 that is called the past, history. Do I really have to keep looking back to know where I am today?

  • @NotInMyName2012 In order to know where you are going, you need to know where you came from. Think about that for a minute. One day people are going to be asking why did he like this dated Dubstep, House, DnB, Breakbeat etc while he listens to a new form of eletronica, music that all stemmed from an artiest like this. Personally, I think its pretty cool to look back and see where it all originated from but hey to each their own.

  • @intosh0812 rubbish! It is interesting looking back but not at all necessary for my survival. in fact there is a saying I will share "if you keep one foot in the past and one foot in the future you will find yourself in the perfect position to shit on the present". In other words learn to exist in the now!

  • this is where dubstep was born

  • @NilzeN1 This is how all electronic music was born! Broaden your horizans my man.

  • Beardy is the most strange person)fuck

  • The Source of Djing

  • I just bought a Bally Xenon machine to restore. One of my faves from back in the day. It's so wonderful to see a woman such as Suzanne breaking boundaries as she did (and in so many ways). The faces on the game even look like her! :) Way to go Suzanne! You're an inspiration.

  • yo baby...blow my fucking mind some more why dontya

  • wow, this woman is super cool & sexy!!

  • So glad i can use ableton instead of that computer thingy with no mouse... Love the hardware tho XD

  • Bally and Williams REALLY need to bring back their pinball divisions.

  • @patoheavy

  • Xenon scared the hell out of me when I was eight years old. Now I have a big tattoo of her!

  • Can someone tell me what unit is the one below the Blue MXR Graphic Equalizer..???

If you stop the video at around minute 1:06 you can clearly see the unit below the MXR EQ but I can't seem to know what exactly it is....

It says something like XWR01 or something but I'd like to know if someone know what it is....??? I know what the rest of the units are except this one and I'm curious to know...

    Thanks.

  • The female voice says "Welcome." Is a receptionist a radical role for women?

Those sexy groans when you put a quarter in the machine aren't exactly Gertrude Stein either.

  • wicked chicks on electronics

  • Wonderfull nostalgia ;-) I never knew Peter Ustinov presented a tv program about scientific discoveries.

    Thank you for uploading.

  • @Hyper5nic One of his best was on Einstein's 100th birthday anniversary a few years back on PBS - that 1 WILL blow your fucking mind ! ! ! !

  • This is one of the best uploads ever 5*****

    D.

  • Amusing how she plays with her hair while she's suggesting using a female voice. Not all that surprising that she got what she wanted. ;P

  • @teemad yea, I saw that too lol. what a flirt.

  • epic

  • This is my ideal woman. Time to buy a ring and invent that time machine...

  • i cant even believe how hot that chick is

  • I WILL TRY A TUBE SHOT

  • this is the best porn, ever.

  • wait! What was that about growing limbs with electricity?!

  • amazing videos crystalsculpture2! - very inspiring to me

    I love these vintage things.

  • Breath taking. I don't listen to this style of music, but it's still just amazing.

  • it's cool to know it was this sort of innovation that would one day inspire new technology in music especially with the modern improved synthesizer keyboards...this kind of thing inspires me to experiment even further.

  • It's kind of ridiculous, and not a little embarrassing, that women were so considered 'less than' in America even in the 80's that the idea of a female voice in a pinball game seemed absolutely radical.

  • @MarsHottentot

i think its just that having any voice in a pinball machine was not possible yet.

  • @itsallhalal

    Hope you're right.

  • @MarsHottentot I agreed with you b4 I actually watched the clip. Unless you have outside evidence, I think the issue was technological limitations, not chauvinism.

Anyway, geeks who design pinball games and synthesizers get very little sexual interaction, so they'd jump at the chance for a female-voiced machine that makes noises like Ciani does in this clip.

See what I just did there? I can pull things out of my ass too, lol!

Seriously, did you even listen to the 2nd half of the video?

  • @MarsHottentot It's because the higher frequency of the female voice required twice the bit space on the voice chip. It was a practical issue dealing with the technology of the day not a sexist issue. I grew up in the 80's - women weren't considered 'less than' in America to the degree you suggest.

  • Rockin' the Synclavier II!

  • sensual voice XD

  • esta muy bueno este video

  • A rip off of a game that knocked about Europe ten years earlier

  • whats the song name playing at 0:40?

  • This song is track 3 from Suzanne Ciani's "Seven Waves" album. Absolutely gorgeous song !!! The album is still available.

  • Awesome video. The synthesis of sound, voice, graphics, and the infinity lights makes Xenon one of the most spectacular pinballs ever. The speeding up over time of simple music, or even a heartbeat like in Gorgar also made these games exciting. Modern games lack something that pinball had. A combination of hardcore skill, with a bit of luck and gambling (for credits) made it the best type of game ever conceived of. Sad how many great machines are now in garbage heaps or rotting and forgotten.

  • Was it just me or did her grunts sound a little orgasmic? This video was pretty awesome by the way.

  • Not only is she good looking but she has a really nice voice too!

  • This video proves that sometimes Less Is More. It all sounds very raw and synthesized without all the extra symphonic soundtracks of today's games, but that raw simplicity is what gave Xenon it's character. Hopefully, pinball will rise again someday and have a larger budget to dedicate to better sound.

  • shes only interested in a guy who know there way around a buchla, in and out, we got no chance...

  • Thanks for posting! Been looking for this clip for quite a while, gave up, and here it is. Suzanne is a musical genius. Now if I can only find a Xenon to play... Again Thanks!

  • i would marry her

  • wow - how far computers have come. she probably spent two months on this project back in the day. today she could have done the same thing in two days!

  • Well, todays speed is both a blessing and a curse. Odds are, if you put that amount of thought and care into the sounds that Suzanne did, the end result won´t be throwaway like it often is nowadays. And there is no way you can make software sound like that Buchla + processing rig she had. Just listen to that SOUND and the whole atmosphere of it. I love it :)

  • I know right, everyone thinks computer can do everything. I wish that were true. I could buy a buchla for a 100 dollars.

  • Maybe not the same that Suzanne got from her Buchla and processing, but you can get some great sound from software synths. I've been experimenting with some of the Arturia virtual synths, I think they sound fantastic. Having said that, I STILL want an old school analog modular synth.
