  • Saw this performed live by students at Lincoln Center... Was amazing and my favorite piece selection from the other performance with the exception of a graham fitkin piece which was just really cool

  • I think you are thinking of his second Trio élégiaque. He actually finished writing this one a year before Tchaikovsky died. The Trio elegiague he wrote in memory of Tchaikovsky was No. 2 and was in D minor. It was filled with EVEN MORE sorrow (believe it or not).

    But I am impressed with your knowledge. And you're right, they are both sublime pieces of music.
