So much soul from a curly haired Scotsman on the vocals... along with the incomparable David Sanborn, the indescribable Marcus Miller, and the impecable Hiram Bullock!
LOVE this song! so much soul. im 13 and they expect me to listen to rap and remixes ect. but i would much rather listen to this! just learned this on my saxophone
OMG!!!!! Sanborn explodes in the first 25 seconds. That opening riff gave me chills! He's on top of his game throughout the whole song. Saw him during his West Cost tour on 2/24/10 to promote his lastest CD "Only Everything." And, nearly 25 years after this performance, now at the age of 64, he's still on top of his game. Long live the Sax Master!
Thanks. It wasn't easy to find Hamish on the net. The very last video that I could definitely tell it was him he had on the Stuart colors and kilt, but it was certainly him.
wow I remember when my dad bought this in the 80's I was a young girl and he loved it so much...still has it in vinyl...and now i can rock out to it on youtube...I love technology!!!
now that you started reading this, you have to finish or else you will have the curse.
10 years ago, a little boy, 3 little girls and 10 adults have been hit by the curse, they deleted this message and a spirit haunted them for 24 hours and killed them right before they fell asleep, they got tortured to death, if you dont repost this to 20 videos in the next 10 minutes, it will happen to you and 3 of your closest friends
Now you know where the Idea for Seal's video 'A Change is Going to come' came from...raw black and white gives a no fuss, it's about the music feel for sure
David, Marcus and Hamish are phenomenal, but let's not forget that while he didn't do much on this particular song, the guitarist was the great Hiram Bullock.
WOW!!!! Thank You for posting this Wonderful Song....years ago I had the album "Straight To The Heart" but it got away from me :(.Last time I tried to buy this I was told it's out of print.
Dave is great, Marcus is great...but HAMISH...Stuart might well be one of the five greatest blue-eyed soul singers of the last 35 years. He's right there with Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, Mick Hucknall and Bobby Caldwell.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! Looked for this a couple months ago, delighted to finally see it. Proof that you don't have to play a lot of notes to be smoking hot!! Not only one of my favorite DS songs, one of my favorite songs ever!! When was this performance? Is it avail. on DVD? Thank you again!!!!
@bluesoulady Yes! You definitely can buy it but it's a little hard to find I think. My friend brought it back from Japan (where every gig ever recorded is available haha). I'd try typing it into Google and see what happens. I can't remember the title but try the names of the players. Good luck, it's totally worth it :-)
@funkee1 i did not know that!

msdogooder 3 weeks ago in playlist YouTube Mix for David Sanborn
One of my favorites of all time but this is missing some very important licks. Compression? Should never compromise music as important as this is.

This song by one of our Grand Rapid sons- Al Green, rocks with its Sanborn , Stuart kick. As they would put it into today's terms. 'THAT'S DOPE'
