  • @funkee1 i did not know that!

  • This is not good, it is GREAT!!!!!

  • One of my favorites of all time but this is missing some very important licks. Compression? Should never compromise music as important as this is.

  • david sanborn, along with matcus miller and hiram bullock and the late miles davis gave me a true appreciation for smooth jazz. I LOVE THOSE GUYS!!!!!

  • love this song dave makes it so gritty

  • he has to be the sexiest sax player ever!

  • So much soul from a curly haired Scotsman on the vocals... along with the incomparable David Sanborn, the indescribable Marcus Miller, and the impecable Hiram Bullock!

  • Good God Ya'll !!!!

  • LOVE this song! so much soul. im 13 and they expect me to listen to rap and remixes ect. but i would much rather listen to this! just learned this on my saxophone

  • Hamish Stuart was the lead singer for Average White band back in the day.

  • great music

  • This song by one of our Grand Rapid sons- Al Green, rocks with its Sanborn , Stuart kick. As they would put it into today's terms. 'THAT'S DOPE'

  • OMG!!!!! Sanborn explodes in the first 25 seconds. That opening riff gave me chills! He's on top of his game throughout the whole song. Saw him during his West Cost tour on 2/24/10 to promote his lastest CD "Only Everything." And, nearly 25 years after this performance, now at the age of 64, he's still on top of his game. Long live the Sax Master!

  • Love the way these musicians work together. . .pretty Moving and amazing!

  • Man,Sanborn explodes on the sax at the beginning. Great tune....

  • Great song, exelent sax playing.

     Loveit so much !

  • God save Al Green !!!

  • Who is the singer?

  • Hamish stuart

  • Thanks. It wasn't easy to find Hamish on the net. The very last video that I could definitely tell it was him he had on the Stuart colors and kilt, but it was certainly him.

  • Hamish Stuart from Average White Band !

  • Now you know where the Idea for Seal's video 'A Change is Going to come' came from...raw black and white gives a no fuss, it's about the music feel for sure

  • Wow...So SaxxxyyyyYYYY!

  • r.i.p hiram :(

  • WOW my sax hero!

  • mine too :]

  • look at hiram, 2nd nature to him, god is going to enjoy hiram

  • I still have this video.Great stuff.

Hopefully this will come out someday on DVD.

  • David Sanborn is the best. So much soul in his playing.

  • David, Marcus and Hamish are phenomenal, but let's not forget that while he didn't do much on this particular song, the guitarist was the great Hiram Bullock.

  • WOW!!!! Thank You for posting this Wonderful Song....years ago I had the album "Straight To The Heart" but it got away from me :(.Last time I tried to buy this I was told it's out of print.

  • Dave is great, Marcus is great...but HAMISH...Stuart might well be one of the five greatest blue-eyed soul singers of the last 35 years. He's right there with Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, Mick Hucknall and Bobby Caldwell.

  • Man, this song is the shit.....David Sanborn, Marcus Miller and the always fabulous Hamish Stuart on vocals!!!!!!

  • and check out the original version by the Rev. Al Green: HS2LekAw2Ts on youtube

  • How about Hamish Stuart on vocals!

  • fucking awesome

  • Thanks for posting this great song by a fantastic bunch of musicians.

  • brilliant Song.... heard David Sanborn and Marcus Miller live in 1984 in Munich playing Love&happines phenomenal Groove!!!

  • I've seen this whole dvd, the musicianship is unparalleled in a lot of live gigs. Awesome post!!! Cheers!

  • Thanks!^-^

  • @carlosbassos can i buy this dvd do you know please?

  • @bluesoulady Yes! You definitely can buy it but it's a little hard to find I think. My friend brought it back from Japan (where every gig ever recorded is available haha). I'd try typing it into Google and see what happens. I can't remember the title but try the names of the players. Good luck, it's totally worth it :-)
