  • is brant bjork playing drums here?

  • @joejessepi no, fredo

  • Blues for the Red Sun seems a proper listen in these flaming days of Brazilian summer

  • can' wait to see em next year!!

  • @TheSpiked66 SUKED IN.. I'M SEEIN THEM THIS YEAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR :-P

  • @thechopper3 wrong, his reached his zenith with Unida & Hermano

  • One of my all time favorite shows. Stabbing Westward opened the show. The Edge in palo alto ...perfect sized club for Kyuss' gigantic sound. I was blessed to see them once more at SF's Bottom of the Hill....Aug 7, 1995. Magical shows. No going back....Oh...Scott was amazing.

  • oliveri can slap-a the fucking bass like no other

  • @ranchodelaluna Thats not Nick is Scott, also, Nick never use the slap technique

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre i actually have no idea what the hell that even means. said it in more of a joke type fashion but i did not that that wasnt nick so ill take that one

  • @ranchodelaluna I am sorry

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre no worries man

  • @ranchodelaluna lol Oliveri WISHES he could play bass like the legend Scott Reeder.

  • When I win the lottery,I'm getting a big-ass muscle car and a £20,000 stereo install and drive around North Wales listening to "Blues For The Red Sun" at full blast until the Wirral snaps off and slides into the sea......

  • @FlyingHeadbutt100 haha i like your style man

  • @ranchodelaluna How about if he could actually name a muscle car, lol! I'd get a '69 Judge in Orange.

  • @HYPERZEPHARIAN very nice indeed, id have to go with a black '72 camaro ss.dont know too much about cars but but ive always had a thing for that specific muscle

  • PLAO ALTO? im gonna kill my parents for not having me a year earlier and not taking me to this

  • @usernam4444 what a dear kid you must be ,how sweet. lol

  • legendarios !!!!

    una banda de culto!

  • Bass brilliance !

  • my all time favorite band! 420

  • Kyuss ROCKS your socks off dude. Hell Yeah !

  • ouh yeah!!!

    fucking great song!!!

this was the first kyuss´s song i hear

    awesome

  • Kyuss is the band with the best bass-sound ever! its so tight!

  • kyuss is brilliant!

    scott reeder really kicks ass

  • @marruc2h2 he is just as good in UNIDA. john garcia is fukin good aswell

  • then josh homme is an idiot

  • reeder uses flatwounds. There's no tissue shredding when u play with flatwound strings. bu t there is however a nice low end, less treble sound

  • lol what

  • Kyuss works because ALL musicians know their part. leave one out and it sounds different,,, its the same with all bands. each person brings a little soul to the show... T

  • Careful, Scott, your hair will get stuck in the strings.

Man, Johnny's voice wasn't doing too good there. Maybe he had a cold.

Ahh, I wish I wasn't a baby when Kyuss still existed.

  • he was shitfaced, just like at all shows.

  • I was still a shikid as well when Kyuss was at their best...Now I'm just (almost) 19 years old and fuckin' pissed drunk... I wsh I was in this condition while Kyuss still fuckin' existed....... Damn...

  • I saw Kyuss i Stockholm in -94 I think. It was the best concert ever! Damn great!

  • I love josh's hair :P totally hardcore

  • fukin morons paying attention to hair style and clothing

  • It is The Edge in Palo Alto - check the cat on mans ruin

  • Why does it matter? They were awesome with Oliveri and they were awesome with Reeder. Also, was this at the old, long since out-of-commission Palo Alto club, The Edge? Help me out here fellow Bay Area kids.

  • Its the edge

  • Dude, it's not a matter of how good the playing is with Reeder. The thing that matters is the friggin' awesome sound he pulls from his bass. That's a fucking tone and a half, man.

  • good basists are able to play more than just a few notes. If an active bass sound makes the music sound better, then there is nothing wrong with an active bass player. please think before posting next time.

  • Are the best bass lines the simple ones or the complicated ones?

  • By the way i should explain that comment was in support of scott reed... not against. He plays low in the range - you'd have to, to play alongside josh in those days. i think bass is a sound that should be felt and not heard, if you disagree with me though fair enough man enjoy your music

  • Thats so true, who the hell gave you -7... Scott reeder rules

  • lots of people, and i'm not one of them. josh homme is awesome

  • bullshit

  • QOTSA had their time though on every recent album they release theres always two or three skullcrushers. Its a fact Josh HOMME doesnt really take his time on newer queens records. He hates the digital industry knowing everyone is stealing his music. Their new record sounds rushed as he doesnt waste time on albums he would rather tour. Artists make nothing on cd's anymore. Id like to see KYUSS reform and destroy everything

  • Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • agreed man!

  • Garcia is playing a Kyuss gig at Roadburn this year :) looking forward to it! Hope that he brings Brant Bjork, who's also playing at Roadburn with Brant Bjork and the bros

  • Scott reader is an excellent bass player. Simple. Trujilo is pretty good though he does nothing in Metallica. Hes better than Newstead but cant shine Cliffs shoes. Scott Reader is different than Cliff style wise but is in the same league playing wise. Kyuss are devastating

  • WRONG.

  • What the fuck are you talking about "a good musician isnt a commercial musician"? WHo the fuck ever said that commercial musicians are good? Ask and one of your faggot commercial musicians whos the best bassist in rock. THeyll ALL say Scott Reeder, is they know what they're talking about. Scott Reeder is the greatest rock bassist to ever pick up the instrument.

  • Thought so, fox holes, dark soul, who gives a fuck!take how ya take it

  • do you seriously feel the need to suck up to reeder in every single one of your posts radiaton? also, your a complete retard.

  • from what i've been able to gather. from looking way too closely at the way reeder plays. i think he use to string his bass upside down. when he was using a Rickenbacker. how rad.

goes to show a good musician isn't a commercial musician.

  • I lived there in that year. wish I'd seen those guys.

  • i love scott reeder's playstyle, the way he hit the strings is really original. i havent seen anyone else do that.

  • Dont forget his fucking awesome hair!!

  • John Garcia's voice is almost always a bit flat live, but theyre still one of the best bands ever.

  • one of the best bands ever

  • UM.. "YOURE LIVIN AND THATS ALL.."

  • This is pretty much why Kyuss never released any official lyrics; they wanted them to be subjective. The songs are all up to personal interpretation as well as the actual lyrics themselves since John's voice is always so low in the mix. Keep listening !!

  • kyuss stoned = :)

  • i thought it was living a fossil ...lol weed

  • Kickass song!

    Kickass band!

  • I was joking - "You live in a Datsun" is a lyric to a song about Kyuss by an Australian band called The Fauves. The singer is saying how he can't understand the lyrics but it doesn't matter. I think the actual words are "You're leaving, I thought so!"

  • thank you very much fpr sharing this, it kicks ass.

  • Who the fuck cares what he's saying? It's a kick ass song.

  • Josh fucking rules! Even better than QOTSA...

  • it's "You're livin' in thought, so..."

  • Strange, in my ears it's "You live in a fox-hole"...

  • Oh my God, so great

    This is the fuckin desert

  • I always thought it was "You live in a dark soul"

  • I'm pretty sure it's "You're livin' in thought, so..."

  • Is that what he says? I thought it was "you live in a thought so" but that never made any sense to me anyway so your probably right.

  • It is "you live in a thought so", as in a person who is living in an imaginary setting.

  • "You live in a Datsun!"
