  • whats wrong with a foregrip?

  • can i have sex with that gun

  • I want this guy on my team.

  • My mind automatically went to M4 when he pulled out a black scar... curse you call of duty!

  • I would think using a vert grip (if you even use them) on the stock rifle would also help keep you hand away from the bolt. Though get bit enough times and I would hope you'd take better care with hand placement.

  • that is a sweet looking rifle!!!!

  • the SCAR is now called the CAR...probably because SOF is shitcanning it

  • Your a civilian lol, what kind of strategic missions do you go on?

  • @JoseKagan Do you know who this man is? haha

  • @JoseKagan You need to fucking ask somebody.

    /watch?v=BDoX8UnQ4D0

  • Hi ! I have a question. When you do these "fake" double feed, isn't it very risky to pull the trigger ? What if one of the two rounds is fired ? I mean, I just thought there was a major risk of permanent damage by doing that...

  • @locknloadbitch No, it's pretty much impossible for either of the rounds involved in the double feed to fire; this is because the bolt is not forward (it is jammed against the top of the rearmost round, preventing it from returning to closed), and can therefore not deliver the firing pin into the primer of either round.

  • @Majormalfunction001 That's right off course ! Thank you very much ! I'm new to guns, and on top of that, I'm french ! lol

  • What laser system is that on the wepon?

  • @powersavemi it's a Dbal

  • This is the best assault rifle actually, every tests prove it. And it's Wallonian made.

  • @MonsieurVinc g36 is the best 556 assault rifle

  • @terrico114 Actually, the best one is the one you have to hand when things go bad.

  • @terrico114 How do you figure that?

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR Field tests prove it. It's lighter, more reliable, and its HK. HK kicks ass

  • Comment removed

  • @terrico114 Lighter and more reliable then what? What proof do you have?

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR yeah wat monsieurvinc said. The xm8 internally is the same as the g36. It is lighter than the scar, because it is mostly made of nylon fiber. It is more reliable as tests prove it. I know it is more expensive, I'm not arguing that this will give you the most bang for your buck. Im just saying that the g36, performance wise, beats the competition.

  • @terrico114 They scrapped it because it was melting under normal test firing that every other gun went through. If they fix the melting issues and add the 2 round hyper burst to it then it could be re-entered.

  • @terrico114 it has several flaws in places that might be less obvious to most. The handguard is not a great design. It has no top rail for an IR laser, so your nightfighting capability is severely hindered. The whole proprietary sights thing is pretty bad too. Optics and sights advance at a rate much higher than small arms, and anything proprietary is quickly outdated.

  • @timoyang1996 The whole more reliable thing isn't necessarily true either. When the army corrected for the less reliable stanags they found that the difference was statistically negligible.

  • @timoyang1996 and ergonomically the g36 is pretty bad, the stock is pretty bad, hence the various new ones. The magazine release is also in a suboptimal location.

  • @MonsieurVinc So great that SOCOM adopted it and then dropped it to go back to the measly M4 Carbine.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR In July 2007, the US Army announced a limited competition between the M4 Carbine, FN SCAR, HK416, and the previously-shelved HK XM8. Ten examples of each of the four competitors were involved. During the testing, 60,000 rounds apiece were fired from each of the carbines in an "extreme dust environment". The purpose of the shootoff was for assessing future needs, not to select a replacement for the M4.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR During the test, the SCAR suffered 226 stoppages. Since a percentage of each weapons' stoppages were caused by magazine failures, the FN SCAR, XM8 and HK 416 performed statistically similarly.[16] The FN SCAR ranked second to the XM8 with 127 stoppages, but with fewer stoppages compared to the M4 with 882 stoppages and the HK 416 with 233.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR This test was based on two previous systems assessments that were conducted using the M4 Carbine and M16 rifle at Aberdeen Proving Ground in 2006 and the summer of 2007 before the third limited competition in the fall of 2007. The 2006 test focused only on the M4 and M16. The Summer 2007 test had only the M4, but increased lubrication.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR Results from the second test resulted in a total of 307 stoppages for the M4 after lubrication was increased, but did not explain why the M4 suffered 882 stoppages with that same level of lubrication in the third test.

  • @MonsieurVinc Your argument is with SOCOM, not me. They dropped the SCAR and went back to the M4 because it didn't offer enough advantages to swap.

  • @MonsieurVinc I think that lots of civilians take that stuff too seriously. SCAR is definitely a good weapon system, but clearly they could manufucture at 1/3 the price. Really 2000$ for each weapon? Better off getting ACR or XCR (about 800$) with the basic same design premise then. It is clear this weapon had pretty much a bunch of "enhancements" in terms of jammages and dirt tests, but I'd say the decision to buy only SCAR17 for the caliber/recoil/price is great. The '16 isn't as great as '17.

  • @BlackOps78321 Last time I checked ACRs are a bit more expensive...

  • Red neck no way that guy does not hunt deer and drink beer on weekends

  • @airsoftmaster255 everyone drinks beer on weekend dude, and hunting is fun

  • alot of people ask me about my scar XD

  • me w/ minigun: GIGGITY GIGGITY GIGGITY... etc. etc.

    me w/ dbl feed: :(

  • kanseb brought me here!

  • FutureWeapons... Such an Amazing show

  • I feel bad for the poor fucker that tries to rob this guys house.

  • I wonder is that Surefire mag heavy

  • No Cod nerd kid comments allow please

  • Operator as hell.

  • Comment removed

  • I hate the light version, heavy all the way!

  • @nerfgundude1000 I wish COD nerds who think they know anything about ACTUAL guns would leave this video.

  • @Majikba The ACR is a real rifle..The idea was from Magpul...manufactured by Remington....so fuck off...

  • @nerfgundude1000 you have never seen a acr before then.

  • @nerfgundude1000 Go back to your unrealistic video games.

  • @nerfgundude1000 youre fucking dumb.

  • @nerfgundude1000 And no...this isnt an ACR im not going to be as harsh as the other guy...but please before you look into real weapons...find out what they are.

  • @nerfgundude1000 Your a fucking tard kid.

  • @nerfgundude1000 fucking tard

  • VERY WELL DONE

  • that SCAR with the rail extension is damn sexy.

  • Get together with Costa!

  • That initial pause was perfect for "Hi, I'm Travis and I'm a SCAR BOSS!"

  • Please don't hate me for saying this, but...

I might be getting a WE SCAR-L soon. Yes, it's an airsoft gun. But it works just like the real thing with the charging handle, bolt catch, etc. I generally found this very interesting and I can't wait to try some of the stuff in this video on the airsoft version. Thanks a lot man :)

  • @RyedaleAirsoft WE is a good company IMO, but do you know if they released the SIG p226 yet? Damn, I'm still waiting for that P90, lol.

  • For a rifle that was supposed to have gotten a lot of input from the end users, it sure does need a lot of third party upgrades to run flawlessly.

  • Haley could run a flint lock like a boss.

  • Is this Arcteryx jacket in production yet?

  • SCARs are for mall ninja queers

  • @jodyhudson34 I don't see how it does the job.

  • thank you. no one ever talks about scar configurations.

  • AR15s are boring and played out. I may pick one of these up soon.

  • @alexthebomb542 This is why i don't like the scar, its just a toy. Sure, an expensive and fun, but still an item used for play.

  • scar's are fucking sexy

  • How do you like that surefire mag?

  • i always thought u didnt mess with aftermarket triggers

  • @djstevesupreme The SCAR trigger is... well, not fantastic, in my opinion. Definitely needs a swap out if you're used to a good AR trigger, though the current options are expensive as %^#%.

  • I'd sure like to see Chris or Travis run an ACR in a video. Seems like a non-reciprocating bolt would help greatly in his first example

  • what steel target is that?

  • 4 people were waiting for Costa to show up....;-D

  • is it better to mount your optics further up on the gun i say this cause i noticed your eotech was mounted pretty far up on that scar

  • @superchinnychinchin Hey man, dont mean to repeat the other 2 dudes, but ithe full name for the light is Surefire M300A Mini Scout Light! Im actually runnin the same one on my 14.5" middy

  • Wow, nice video. You obviously know your stuff. I assume you are military/ex-military/law officer? Thanks for being on point with your knowledge and skills. You're inspiring.

  • @olcrowe Ret. Recon Marine, Blackwater, Magpul Dynamics Extraordinaire

  • what model surefire flashlight does he have on the second scar

  • @superchinnychinchin M300 Mini Scout

  • @superchinnychinchin

    scout mini

  • Go to my page and watch the video of my SCAR. i just uploaded it and let me know what you think. Thanks Travis

  • There are many things that are good on the SCAR, yet there are also many things that can be hateful on it, the charging handle is one of the most annoying thing on it.

  • Travis rocks semper fi

  • I like the 60 round mag, those are sexy.

  • @ImaFunnaKillYou yes they are.,,,,

  • One reason I run the charging handle on the right side is to keep it ambi. If I were to shoot lefty then I do not have to loose my firing grip to reach the bolt release and I can just reach the charging handle. Great for small hands like me :P

  • May I ask y'all Americans. Why do you guys love to buy and shoot guns? I love airsoft and I play wargames every now and then but I wouldn't buy a real gun and buy all those lights and bells if all I can do with it is shoot at targets that can't shoot back. No offence intended what so ever. Just curious. I mean I would buy a SCAR and put it on me shelf cause it looks pretty.

  • @slamer2000 Because "We Are Americans" and we love our rights! Not to mention in a self defense situation an airsoft isn't going to save your life or a loved ones.

  • @jdmSRT :D

  • @jdmSRT Yes...true, Then again most people dont think of owning a gun...due to the current goverment hating all over guns and trying to take the second ammendment (Either that or they are with the goverment and hate weapons)

  • I see how that double feed could be an issue. Good thing SCARs rarely ever jam.

  • @USpatriot741776 Double feeds are rarely the gun, if you use crap mags even a scar will jam up. Not bashing the system I'd love to have one lol. Short and sweet, all weapons jam!

  • @USpatriot741776 Are you fuckin kidding me?? All damn weapons jam in some point of there firing....be it due to bad cleaning...or just a crappy magazine...

  • thoughts on the Surefire Hi-Cap mags ??/ Go or No-Go ???

  • Travis, you & Costa will allways be "Like a boss". Love you guys! :D

And btw, start shipping HaleyStrategic worldwide/ to europe.

  • Haley is a FUC*ING BOSS!

  • YEE TRAVISSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Is he not with magpul anymore?

  • @fusionstar916 Nope, hence the company name.

  • Thank you for your service Travis.

  • Tell me about shooting steel targets at close range (inside 100 meters) like you are here, in particular with a rifle please. How safe is that? What are the dos and don'ts?

  • Tell me about shooting steelyards ay

  • BEAST!!! but, what kind of jacket is that? just wondering

  • Even your slow reloads are fast as fuck. lol

  • @gunfan50bmg

Says the kid who has a Mosin Nagat. He's the experienced one and is demonstrating the rifle, NOT showing off how fast he is reloading.

  • @HellaFlushed

Precisely. He's not even trying to be fast, but his reloads are very fluid and fast. You're not insulting me by bringing up the fact that I own a Mosin Nagant( Nagant, not Nagat, there's a fucking N separating the A and T ), I don't have videos on all of my weapons. Besides that, I checked your channel. I don't see a single firearms - related video that you've uploaded. You appear to be a " No - Guns ". Go get a fucking life and quit talking shit on the internet.

  • @HellaFlushed

Even if the Mosin were my only rifle( which it DEFINITELY is NOT ), it's not what you have, it's what you can do with it. You might realize that if you had semi - mature firearms experience and knowledge. I wouldn't be talking shit about another person's weapon, or skill level. Period. Now, go out there and start developing your skills as a shooter, rather than talking shit about other shooters.

  • @gunfan50bmg

Me talking shit on the internet? I'm sorry, I wasn't the one who was dissing the instructor's reloads in the first place.

  • @HellaFlushed

    I was complimenting Travis's reloads.

  • Love how u show what ur runnin and the reason behind why u run it!! Keep em comming

  • Man i love these vids ur doing!!! Im diggin how s yv

  • for fun i think you should do a video on the m1 garand. "the tactical garand"

  • Travis is DA MAN !!

  • Cool to see the dragonfly graphic again, still got any of those long sleeve SDI Tactical tshirts anywhere?

  • As always, Travis is quick and to the point on great ergonomics and manipulations of his weapon systems. Thanks, keep it up!

    Mike

  • TheShocker2011az is stupid and gay. Has never shot a gun before and likes cock sandwiches. LOL stop hating fool. Jealousy is a womans trait. Stop that.

  • @datzitteezy Don't be feeding the troll please.

  • Conceal M&P in crotch area...like a BOSS!

  • @jimothy183

Oh, you have room for one. I don't.

  • You don't appreciate how good the ergonomics are on the M4 until you see a video like this.

  • Just curious, how come you mount the Eotech all the way up there by the front sight?

  • @Tendrop711

The further forward you place red dot optics the faster they come into your field of view as you bring them to target. He probably placed it as far forward as he could while keeping the weapon balanced.

  • Great video and system! I'll be getting a SCAR-L next week with an EOTech EXPS2-0 and 3X Deluxe Magnifier w/ Flip to Side mount, Magpul AFG, and a Battlecomp 1.0!

  • What kind of Arc'teryx jacket is he wearing?

  • @TheDJKareem Arc'Teryx

    Hyllus Hoody

  • I love how crazy the front end of that second SCAR gets. I wonder if the added weight becomes and Issue?

  • Nice vid. For the problem reasons stated in this video, I don't run a SCAR personally, but an Robinson Arms XCR. My charging handle is on the left, it does not reciprocate during fire thus no problems with my arm being in the way or loosing a finger;) Also, the bolt catch can be operated ambidextrously. It's a great platform the Bushmaster tried to mimic with the ACR.

  • @Fwalshingham. Nope we are out of pocket for every weapons purchase just free ammo . They will pay more in ammo for me over the course of one year than I drop on the gun.

  • how you like those surefire mags? are they any good? and what the scar vs ACR? trying to decide which one to get.

  • @iagui004 From what I have heard they stack up nearly the same. The SCAR is around a pound lighter but most people seem to like running the ACR a little better.

  • Anyone ever run one of those in your classes?

  • Wow, best video name ever. Hahaha.

  • Are there ambidextrious charging handles available for the SCAR?

  • BOSS Status has been achieved and surpassed into LEGEN....wait for it....DARY

  • Great video bro. I run a 16s for duty carry with my PD, and appreciate the stuff you put out. Give us FN guys some more when you get a chance .

  • @3410home Damn...did your dept. shell out for that?

  • This makes me want to get a SCAR.

  • I take it th BAD lever doesn't fit the scar?

  • of course its a junktastic surefire 60 rounder that causes the issue :)

  • @cahanson00

    issue?

I saw no "issue" besides the one he artificially created...

  • @Breakneckhydra1 i own one and can attest to its junkasticness hence why its ironic thats what was used for the example

  • Anyone know what jacket Travis is wearing ? Thanks.

  • @NebbiettaMilanese Arc'Teryx Hyllus Hoody

  • i wanna fight him with airsoft guns

  • What kind of forward grip is that on the first scar???

  • @mickster424 Magpul AFG

  • @mickster424 I believe it's a Larue handstop.

  • Hey Travis, is that pistol grip on your black SCAR stippled or is it a grip from another manufacturer?

  • Not a single fuck was given that day at the range.

  • This guy counts the dollar signs every time he mentions another manufacturers name...loser.

  • @WARDofLORE You wanna fight him?

  • @WARDofLORE And how do you explain your jacket sporting the "Best Buy" logo? Loser

  • @WARDofLORE Man, when he talks about weapon system enhancement because he had lot of questions, i want to hear the name of manufacturers...

  • @WARDofLORE Jealous much? Thats a womans trait dude.

  • boss.

  • Man the way you had the black scar set up is BEAST MODE!

  • Are you sure people can lock that bolt to the rear while grabbing the charging handle one handed under critical stress gross motor skill? That must take thousands of repetitions, talk about serious practice!

  • How does the Geissele Trigger enhance the fire arms performance?? i do not count a lighter trigger pull as enhancement.

  • @AlfonsoEastBay rate of fire and fatigue. My Glock17 is an LE model with an 11lb pull, I can fire the stock civvie glock with the 5.5lbs (or whatever it is) much faster and I can put more rounds through it at the range before my finger hurts. Not to mention that new trigger might eliminate creep and play from the stock SCAR trigger which would increase the ROF even more. Lighter triggers also increase accuracy by reducing shooter input to the weapon system.

  • @AlfonsoEastBay Why?

  • @animalmother556x45 because to me it seems like it would make the new trigger group a proprietary component and i dont think it is so great to use such parts if the firearm was not designed around that trigger assembley but rather the stock configuration it was just a question, sure those triggers run smooth Ive tried them out but i like to have spar standard mil spec parts i can easily replace and not get a hold of the manufacture , to each his own.
