I only saw Blossom do this song once in the many times that I saw her perform in her last years at Danny's in New York. There were even more lines, and as I recall the overall effect was a bit more risque. I wonder if John Wallowitch used to perform that version?

I asked Miss Dearie herself if this song is about Bruce Valance, but she told me that it's not. Anyway, I thought coz it sounds so much like Bruce Valance.
