Each to his own. Personally, I liked the place a lot - but probably have different taste's then you. btw - one can like metal (metalhead?) and also clocks. Apocalyptica anyone?
I have 3 real quick videos of 3 of the floor clocks in this room I took on my phone in April which I will add soon. The clock chiming in the very begining is a very nice bracket clock chiming on gongs and it also has whittingon on 8 bells. Most every clock here is American, but I cant remember the maker of it. The regulator you see next to the lantern clock has a bell strike that repeats the hour count again 3 minutes after the hour, which is a uncommon.
Oh I enjoyed the clip but being a English clock conoisseur and a fan of different clock chimes I cannot bear it when someone does not put them in synch when they set the clocks up lol.
I'm afraid I don't know one chime from another, but thought this was too pretty to pass up. Sorry the video quality isn't better (there's a story here...), but mostly I just wanted to capture the beautiful sounds. The Museum sets the clocks a few minutes apart so they don't all chime at the same time. I sent a link to this video to the Museum, I figure they might be interested in your comments.
These museums arent bothered they just clean em up a bit make em look nice and set em running thats it - they never think to check the chimes are in synch.
its out of sych the last line is suppoed to be the first line of the hour chime lol basically they got the drum out of synch with where its supposed to start from.
The clock chiming at the beggining of the film soinds Exactly like one in Fond Du Lac's Library. Interesting. The other chiming clock sounds good, too (the bell chiming one at 1:14 seconds to around 1:44 seconds. Nice clocks. :3
Ahhh...I always wondered what Heaven was like.

3:50 That clock is huge. I wonder what kind of house that used to be in.

That clock is a Jewelers clock, and would be kept in stores.

The ticking alone is enough to drive you into the aluminum siding business :)
