  • So so so sooooooo fucking eargasmic! *-*

  • i saw this on tv in 97 only knowing the singles at the time, this song seemed to stand out so much.the lyrics are amazing.

  • pure brilliance!!!, gives me chills everytime.....i hope radiohead visit australia soon :)

  • Ed= the most underrated guitarrist in the history of the world

  • @etejuanete3 I agree :C Ed is the king of the pedals xD

  • @ParanoidPola but he's an awesome guitarrist too he deservesknown as what he is

  • wow

  • I saw radiohead live at south park homecoming gig! fucking amazing, left with the impression live music can't be pushed further! They were just so good! I don't remember them playing this before! This is a wicked live version man, great post!:)

  • @ 3:15>>>all hell breaks loose. Beautifully dark and powerful.

  • PHIL SELWAY!!!!

  • F u c k i n g RAD. Period.

  • Ed needs more solos and singing on the next record I think..

  • I was at this right in the front. Always remember the great show forever etched in my mind. Thanks for that.

  • Good version but no scream is one star less in effect -__-

  • one of radioheads best live performances

  • I was at this, it was great. My XGF wanted to watch Kula Shaker on the NME stage while this was going on, that's when I started realizing she was a fool.

  • @starkcreative me too, i was here, when they played this the bass was shaking the ground, ;)

  • I was at this, it was great.

  • such a bad ass tune!

  • I still remember way back, I purchased the album Holy Wood by Marylin Manson. I reached a song called, 'lamb of god' and my jaw dropped. The buggers had ripped of Climing the wall by Radiohead. I immediately stopped listening and haven't listened to a Marylin Manson CD since XD

  • Does Thom ever do the scream live

  • @TitanTheManic i'm guessing he doesn't do the scream live because he's probably afraid he will mess up his voice and not sound good for the rest of the concert.

  • does anyone know whats the toy car-like remote control that johnny uses to make the ambient sounds in the beggining of the song?

  • If you ever want to scare the shit out of yourself, listen to this at full volume in a dark, empty house.

  • I can't listen to this song right before going to sleep.

  • haha, I fell asleep last night listening to this song and other Radiohead tunes. I just keep thinking, god I love love love Radiohead!!

  • gooooooood bless them! :* xoxoxoxoooooooooooooooooooo

  • Indeed.. May Buddha, Moses, Joseph Smith, Krishna, Lao Tzu, Jesus, Muhammad and Sea Man all bestow their magical made up powers on Radiohead.

  • that is funny! I was going to say all of them too. :D may all the faces of the higher power blesseth Radiohead!!!!! :*

  • damn i like this song!!!!!......

  • la mia preferita

  • radiohead's darkest song ever

  • Temazo

  • The beginning sounded like Tool live.

I don't mean anything by that by the way.

  • @WeAreEternal1223 Haha i don't see anything sounding like Tool to be a bad thing at all............

  • @christvswarhol Hehe, that's what I like to hear.

  • @WeAreEternal1223 you guys listen to Tool AND Radiohead?? I thought I was the only one *tears*. Thats awesome.

  • @shamwoww You are not alone =)

  • the intro is similar to confortable numb

  • 3:15 to 3:45 amazing drums!

    solid, solid performance!

  • haunting

  • ohhh

  • Why did you get thumbs down? The lyrics are horrible!

Probably people thought you meant bad, rather than scary. So it goes.

  • 3:17

    beyond epic.

  • Agree.

  • Jonny is using a portable radio with delay effects on it.

  • great song indeed..

  • Comment removed

  • they're samplers and wireless controls for certain parameters on the synths

  • Jonny esta jugando a la Play Station!

    Este Jonny che :P

  • for a while the lyrics were just jiberish

  • Check out my profile, I've upload an audience shot of this whole concert.

  • too damn good...

  • to all of those people who think radiohead aren't up to par live...here is evidence to the contrary

  • who the fuck thinks radiohead aren't up to scratch live? I've seen them twice and there's not a single band that comes close live. Were do these people live? i gotta sort them out.

  • @jmajor657 check out porcupine tree live!

  • @jmajor657 Radioheads great live But I think Muse also Puts on an amazing live show.

  • @FlipGordon unfortunately when compared to Radiohead, Muse turns into Nickelback

  • @jmajor657 I totally agree.

  • @jmajor657 Thank you. I've seen them 5 times. No other band compares to RADIOHEAD live.

  • @jmajor657 muse is good too

  • I didn't think that anyone would think that. Radiohead are the greatest

  • havent seen radiohead live yet so cant comment, but muse at wembley stadium was completely awesome

  • Haven't seen Radiohead live yet so can't comment, but Fishbone at The Knitting Factory was completely awesome.

  • ..... I think that might have been either:

A wise crack that you consider must pretentious

    or

A confession that you like an emo screamo band called fisbone and hang out at knitting factories.

youd best claim its the latter, because i swear to god, if i hear someone else whining about muse because theyve fallen from their origin of symetry glory, i will kill someone.

  • I've never even listened to Muse. Ok, the point of that comment was a parody of somerandomer's comment. What does Fishbone have to do with Radiohead? Nothing. Muse has nothing to do with Radiohead either. The point was to show how irrelevant and out of place somerandomer's comment was, and that Muse shouldn't be compared with Radiohead in the same way that Fishbone shouldn't. It's a joke, get it? I bet now you're offended because it flew over your head and therefore must be a stupid joke.

  • I was actually just fooling around with that comment, i like how you think things through tho! :D

  • Great song!!

  • To this day,my favorite version of this song. Jonny's sampling and ed's lead just mesh so perfectly here. Mad scientists!!

  • EPIC

  • considering all the things that went wrong on the night... this is still epic

  • now i'm curious.

    so, what happened that night?

  • The monitors blew up... speakers blew up... pa malfunctioned, god knows what else. Basically a nightmare for any band but they showed what a good band they are and got through it.

  • yeah it's that kinda thing that thom wrote "how to disappear completely" about.

  • is it just me or is johnny gonna have some serious back problems when he's older. i mean, i've never seen him looking up; he's always hunched over. haha

  • I, too, am concerned for his back!

  • EASILY one of the best rock songs i've ever heard!!!!

  • in mexico city the best song played

  • Oh sweet fuck! AMAZING song.

  • Does anybody know what's that device Jonny Greenwood uses in the beginning of the video?

  • It's a radio. When they are doing their sound check Johnny locates local classical music and news stations then uses those stations to start off the song. Pretty cool i think :)

  • Fucking ingenious

  • Probably own creation instrument programed with program similar to reactor 5.

  • or it's just any old high gain distortion pedal picking up radio waves

    :|

  • and he runs the radio through a delay too

  • i was at this gig. it remains one of the best i ever saw.

  • MManson has stolen this melody what a douche! lol

  • where did he used it? :S

  • the song's called Lamb of God from Holy Wood 2001

  • i had MM's album but hadn't noticed. sounds kinda the same..

  • aren't the vocals quite similar to 'cherry lips' from Garbage (accelerated)?

  • Zackcanasta, I can kind of see what you mean, but no, they really aren't at all.

  • my favorite song

  • I'm quite sure that Marylin Manson covered this song on Holywood !! Please someone agree ?

  • Nearly! Lamb of God by marilyn uses the same melody making them sound really similar

  • best song on ok computer

  • Thom Yorke's stage presence is amazing. He eminates the dark, dank and gritty emotion of the song just through body language.

  • Radiohead at their darkest and most beautiful.

  • A gem of a song from OK Computer. This album that will stand the test of time. I love the way they create those effects live on stage. Superb stuff!

  • awesome drumming in this song Phil Selway is the man!

  • Very true.

    Phil Selway IS THE MAN

  • Mad scientist's. Gods. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i used to get stoned and listen to this song when the album came out.still one of my faves..its so eerie.

  • same bro. amazing. when i first got 'done' for the stoner scene i listened to it again and cried my fucking eyes out. but they were good tears in the end and it helped.

  • '97 never quits.

  • love this song

  • a masterpiece of a song

  • one of the best bands ever made.

  • The best band from my view.

  • I keep trying to listen to other bands, but its a matter of minutes before I'm listening to radiohead again...this stuff is addictive!

  • I think exactly the same, I cant avoid listening to radiohead, the music is simply amazing, superb and it gets deep into my mind, and perspective, very very good music, my fave band forever!

  • i think that's because radiohead are the most real music band of all the times! thom and co really feel their music.love it as their own child! this is the best of art i believe

  • haha, I know. you feel that it's time for a little change of scenery, but apperantly it's not!

  • @Benthebass87

same, its been over a year now

  • @Benthebass87 I can't believe this that's exactly what's going on with me. I'm just Incapable to listen to others. I keep coming back

  • how fucking great is that its wikudd stuff

  • amazing, no band could come up with somthing so genuis

  • the lyrics to this song are crazy!

  • what was johnny(?) playing with in the beginning?

  • watched the rest, was it a theremin

  • Before I watched the video, I was assuming you meant his Ondes, but then I remembered...

Jonny has this little radio that he likes fiddling with on this song. At least when I've seen them live, he always pulls it out on this song, so I'm assuming that's it.

  • yeah, good reply.

  • such great lyrics on this one.

  • one of the best song ever made.

  • I have to say, i really don't like Radiohead, but this song is ABSOLUTE FUCKING CLASS

  • I lock the kids up safe tonight

  • right on...right on.

  • I am the pick in the ice

Do not cry out or hit the alarm

  • radiohead é foda, muito bomm....

  • '....i got the smell of a local man, who's got the lonliest feeling....'

    Uuuuuurgh!

  • Tool = Great Band

    Radiohead = Great Band

Don't compare them, they are not anything a like...

All Radiohead is good..you have to except it all because it was all radiohead at one point in time, so its all amazing...EXCEPT for fucking Creep...that is not radiohead...

  • I can not believe, that someone can compare TOOL and Radiohead. My opinion: TOOL is my very favorited band when I am in mood for them, oterwise is Radiohead my nr.1. But they are absolutely diferent! At all. I can cry listening Tool as well as when I listen Radiohead. When I was on Tool I was shure, that was my best moment ever. But I two days ago I was on Radiohead and this was my very best moment so far. Glasgow, Green Park, heavy rainig, 25K people, fucking good concert!!! I can die now!

  • Sorry for my English, but I was very excited by listening Radiohead and remembering concert :-)

  • when tool came out they were called the radiohead of rock... radiohead writes great music and lyrics.. tool writes great music and lyrics... i enjoy tools lives.. i enjoy radiohead lives.. dont you all enjoy it?

  • yeah man!!

  • of course both are great bands!!!

  • wow, these comments disgust me.

  • I personally prefer the studio version. I know it really can't be done better live, but I just love the even softer singing in the studio version. You know... it is even more amazingly creepy.

  • I agree.

  • Everything Radiohead has done is amazing.

  • You're a fucking idiot. Pablo Honey sucked and Radiohead even knows it. The albums after The Bends was when their true sound came out and their classics seeped from Radiohead's genius.

  • n00b much?

  • 3:16 is when all hell breaks loose. Hauntingly beautiful.

  • in what universe?

  • I think when he says that Tool is better he means that Tool is better at making nothing BUT ambient noise. Which is true. Radiohead keeps writing actual SONGS.

    Which is a shame. /sarcasm

  • Tool creates actual songs. Listen to Lateralus, and tell me that it isn't a Masterpiece of composition. Tool songs are definitely easier to play, but they are the only band that can take simple notes and make them sound as full as they do. Also Tools drummer is much better. I love both of them more than any other bands, but don't go comparing them because they are completely different and beautiful in their own rights.

  • fucking amazing song.

if i don't manage to get a ticket to the LCCC gig on june 29th i'll never forgive myself.

  • i cant believe they havent locked thom away yet

  • they may play exit music. They played planet telex and fade out in houston...who knows?

  • They really got it on this one.

  • Why is Johnny mucking around with a remote control car. Fucking lazy bastard!

  • It's a portable radio used for background noise, not a RC car.

  • That's what she said!

    ;_;

  • All hell breaks loose at 3:16 and, oh so beautifully. That my friend's is pure/raw power.

  • i'm gunna see them in vancvouerrrr

  • i would give my life to have seen this live

  • amnegiac (14 hours ago): "i would give my life to have seen this live"

Now I couldn't agree more with you mate.

Mutherfuckers never came to Argentina. They went to Brazil, if they come as near as that again I'm going. I sell my house or my arm or sommin I dunno.

  • ya man i got tickets to there show in vancouver in august lucky i jus live on an island right off of there and i just hope they play exit music but i know they prolly wont

  • amnegiac (16 hours ago): "ya man i got tickets to there show in vancouver in august lucky i jus live on an island right off of there and i just hope they play exit music but i know they prolly wont"

Dude, they played Iron lung at 93 Feet East, who knows what they might play?

I'd kill to see a live performance of Nobody does it better.

  • who knows man, i was at their show in st louis about 3 nights ago and they played exit music on the first encore. It was one of the best songs they played that night too. Everyone had their lighters out and were yelling "I HOPE THAT YOU CHOKE!"

  • "I've got the smell of a local man

    who's got the loneliest feeling"

  • That gesture in time 2:32 was incendiary! Beautiful version, one of my favourites!

  • 2231984: "That gesture in time 2:32 was incendiary! Beautiful version, one of my favourites!"

I wonder what the fuck went through his mind in that moment.

This era is the one in which I like Thom the most. White, skinny, short hair, depressed and nuts, like in Meeting people is easy. Sad but beautiful.

  • i couldnt agree more with ya friend

  • Where's the scream, thom!?

  • Radiohead at their most violent and beautiful.

  • they are genius

  • All hell breaks loose at 3:16. Beautiful darkness.
