@wesomest I've been detecting here in Victoria in Australia, this area which is known as the golden triangle, and in 3 months of detecting I have only found 1.1oz in about 11 small pieces. I've probably put 300 hours in for about $1800. And my detector cost me $3400. So its not that common. But it does happen. You hear of multi-oz finds nearly every month. I just do it for a hobby though. Any finds are a bonus.

Were any of you listening to what he said? He said he had been prospecting for 4 days and found NOTHING. This guy is a pro and this is a once or twice in a lifetime find. He has probably gone out twenty or thirty times and found -0-.
