  • @Shachah223 actually I moved to Minnesota from India when I was three and I don't have either accent

  • Hold up! We don't talk like that!! But since are known to be nice, I'll hold back the string of cuss words I'd like to list here. Btw, we do more cleaning than a lot of people, we shovel our driveways twice a day in the winter!!

  • @dothedancewithnopant Sorry but you sound like that to people that are not from minnesota. Im from the midwest so she sounds just like someone from minnesota to me. I love this accent.

  • Its not minnesotan its canadian, we don't sound like this.

  • @hugh705 Sorry but you sound like that to people that are not from minnesota. Im from the midwest so she sounds just like someone from minnesota to me.

  • @tp3reloaded80 No we don't.

  • You rock!

  • lol this is a canadian accent. im from ramsey mn straight sticks. and still no one speaks like that.

  • Guy from Boston here. Your accent is so cute. Although, since I am from the east cost, your accent reminds me of Marge Gunderson from Fargo. (Yes, she is from N.D.).

  • @clermeil Actually her character was from Brainerd, MN.

  • @LenaGilbert007 I Stand corrected. .

  • @LenaGilbert007

So sorry. Your accent remains cute.

  • My friend from utah said we say "ya know" all the time,I never said it in my life.

  • I lived in minnesota all my life... people never sound like this... I only notice people say a lot here "Ya Know" A bit much, I say it like in every sentence haha

  • this sounds like a Canadian...

  • I bet she´s of Swedish descent

  • The only "Minnesotan" accent I know is the one I have is where I sometimes put some emphasis on my "o's" like in the word "No" or something. Nothing too fancy.

  • I dont sound like that lol XD

  • I don't talk like that....

  • Ja, Okay, So - Sounded like german.

  • I'm British, and to me, this sounds a bit more like a Scotish accent. If you haven't heared a Glaswegian accent, listen to it! :)

  • @foreversmiling952

Um, no it's not. I'm Canadian Eh...and it's not even close. American's no matter where they are from talk with more of a twang. I'm curious though, American's usually make fun of Canadians for saying "eh". Some use it more than others depends on where you are. American's use "huh" instead of "eh". But do any border states use "eh" more than others? just curious, cheers!

  • I am a lifelong resident of Minnesota and have lived in Minneapolis for 10 years. My accent is generally indistinguishable from professional types in Seattle, Chicago or other large northern cities, except for when I get angry. THEN the ä's, å's, ö's and hard r's come out...

  • @mnlandarch221

LOL Every American loves to think they don't have an accent. I bet you have one, it's just subtle or you don't notice it because you live where people use it often. For example, I didn't think I have a Texan accent, until I heard other North Texans; North Texans have really subtle drawls, so subtle we normally don't recognize it, but others do. Californians think they have the American Accent, but they have Californian Accents! xD

  • I've never heard anyone from Minnesota talk like that. I'm from central, I've lived in Moorhead, Duluth, and the cities. No one talks like that.

  • @LilaMae29 Moorhead, Duluth, are alll bigger cities... go up to a smaller town of under 500 ppl on the iron range, and you will hear this accent

  • I love this accent!

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but nobody talks like that. Come to the cities to check it out if you'd like. If you want a thick accent like that you'll probably find it up by Big Falls or Littlefork.

  • 300 horse power vacuum?

    Holy moly.

But we don't speak like this. The movies Fargo and New To Town are completely wrong, misleading, nope. lol no Minnesotan accent is as thick as this. Though I wish it was, I love the sound of this.

  • northern minnesota accent.am from minneapolis, and this is far away from it..Northern got a canadian\irish\scandinavian twist.

  • @BSagitarius no one in the rest of Minnesota speaks like that.

  • this made me pee a little hahaha! this is so good!!!

  • Anyone who claims to live In MN but doesn't realize that we talk like this is in denial! Of course you don't realize it, because everyone talks this way to some extent! Then when you hear ppl immitating us you get offended?!?! Get out of here and find a hobby! Stop being so sensitive and get over it! Lol pansies...

  • This is the cutest accent ever!

  • Everyone says I have a Minnesotan accent....I've never heard myself sound like that XD But then again....IDK >_>..

  • lol love that accent

  • sarah palin?

  • now i feel dumb cuz i'm from the cities and i still can't really tell a difference

  • I am a canadian, albertan to be exact. anyways while i was at work a american that was passing through was like hey your voices do change up here hehe, and then he had said i had a minesotan accent, which i have listened and i just dont hear it.

  • @MsEvilChika edmontoooooooon ♥

  • no one from minnesota talks like that!! i mean, i would know because im from minnesota

  • i love minnesotan accents. they're so cool ;D

  • No one talks like this in Minnesota, but everyone in Minnesota can,

    St.Cloud represented!

  • no one from Minnesota talks like that!

  • I LOVE MINNESOOOOTAAAAH

  • She sounds like Kitty from that 70's show...

  • @stormithewoodworm i was also thinking that. she looks like her too!

  • I live WAY up north in Minnesota and I only know like 5 people that talk like that! Soo I find that affencive.....

  • mainly the older people sound like that, but the young minnesotans (Like me!) Sound a little less bold than that!

  • Even her "Oh" sounds Minnesotan.

  • Hahaha this is like my grandma xD

  • The only Minnesotans that talk like that is if you go WAYYY up north or in the way south I've heard a few people speak like that. Nobody in the cities area speaks like that.

  • Sarah Palin talks like that... people from minnesota definitely doesn't!

  • i feel like very small select people speak liike this in minnesOta

  • I live & have lived in minnesota my whole life, and nobody sounds like that.

  • @Dreamer0628 lol the idea of a bunch of people up north yelling " dammit we dont sound like that" is pretty funny in of itself, i smell an SNL skit

  • we do duct tape everything, its true.

  • im born and raised in minnesota and nobody sounds like this UNLESS you are right on the border! haha i do catch myself having a accent on boat sometimes but nobody round here has anything near this....just my opinion on my observations here

  • Okay this sounds right actually....

  • this is extremely fake. Only like intl. falls and canadians and fargo people talk like that. Not true minnesotans

  • people sound like this more in northern minnesota but still this sounds canadian not minnesotan

  • so it's not Minnesotan unless you can slip in 'dontcha know', 'eh'(i know it's canadian but we use it to) or 'youbecha' in any conversation.. that's part of sounding like a minnesotan

  • I was waiting for her to say "Bobby" and "dontcha know" Bobbys world, dontcha know.

  • You guys are funny. I think I'd like to visit Minnesota.

  • You guys are funny.

  • i lived in minnesota for 18 years (im 23) and i never heard anyone talk like that until i went to oklahoma and met some kids from minnesota who lived outside of the cities. Wow. Their accent was SO thick it was disgusting, i seriously thought they were joking. but its really how they talked lol. But yea, we all dont sound like that.

  • @PloiAm

Funny, I was just in the Twin Cities this past summer- and EVERYONE sounded just like this

  • Hahahah I love!!!You sound just like Dexter's mom in Dexter's lab...Hahahah

  • THATS CANDIAN NOT MINNESOTA ACCENT!!! im from mn and i find that very insulting

  • Most citizens of Minnesota are Scandinavian, and they learned English in crude language classes back East, so when they moved to the Midwest to farm, were isolated, and developed a distinct accent...

  • haha, how-oose

  • Haha I'm from Minnesota...we aren't quite THAT bad. You can hear the 'O thing' on most people, but not that bad. You gotta get pretty far north to hear anything close to that. :]

  • No one in the cities speaks like that

  • @BSagitarius

That's because Minnesota has different dialects for Northern, Southern, and Metro Minnesota. Northern Minnesotans tend to speak a little like Canadians (stressing the "oh"s and saying things like "Yah" and "You betcha." In Southern and Metro MN, the dialect is more dissolved, and can have many different styles, from California-ish to NY. I have family living in all areas of MN, so I would know.

  • she has the cadence of an irish accent almost in parts

  • I love Minnesotan accent. Its an English with Norwegian and Swedish accents and Scandinavian expressions and words . like.." Oh thats a good one" and "Uff-Da" You will Betcha.

  • Hehe, I'm from minnesota and i have a shirt that says, "duct tape fixes everything"

  • it's pretty accurate a little over done but not much

  • lmao. this is great!!!!

  • I love minnesota accents! Great job :D

  • good job! haha I'm from Minnesota and although not all of us sound like that its a job well done!
