Actually, most of the news media is right-wing. MSNBC is the only true 'liberal' news media out there. I'm glad Gates listened to me a few years ago and made MSNBC more liberal. I had to go about getting ahold of him in a bad way, but it worked. I hacked the State Department and added an email address on their exchange server. Then I emailed the Gates Foundation from the state department email address I created. That got his attention ;-).
Actually, the State Department was way behind in technology a few years ago when I hacked their network. This was back in around 2008, and they were still running windows 2000 server eventhough windows server 2003 had been out for several years. It was quite simple. I got their IP range from ARIN and used ipcscan to scan the range. It scanned out a host's username/password on the range. Then I connected to its remote registry and turned on rdp. RDP'ed it.
Once I was rdp'ed into a box on their network, I downloaded fluke network inspector and scanned their network. Got the ip addresses of some of their managed switches. Used a cisco IOS exploit to view the running config and got the md5 priveleged exec pass for the switch. Downloaded john the ripper and a few dictionary files to the box and cracked the md5 hash. Then I tried the password against the 2000 server box and it let me login as administrator. Simple.Took me 10 mins

Actually, most of the news media is right-wing. MSNBC is the only true 'liberal' news media out there. I'm glad Gates listened to me a few years ago and made MSNBC more liberal. I had to go about getting ahold of him in a bad way, but it worked. I hacked the State Department and added an email address on their exchange server. Then I emailed the Gates Foundation from the state department email address I created. That got his attention ;-).

Actually, the State Department was way behind in technology a few years ago when I hacked their network. This was back in around 2008, and they were still running windows 2000 server eventhough windows server 2003 had been out for several years. It was quite simple. I got their IP range from ARIN and used ipcscan to scan the range. It scanned out a host's username/password on the range. Then I connected to its remote registry and turned on rdp. RDP'ed it.

Once I was rdp'ed into a box on their network, I downloaded fluke network inspector and scanned their network. Got the ip addresses of some of their managed switches. Used a cisco IOS exploit to view the running config and got the md5 priveleged exec pass for the switch. Downloaded john the ripper and a few dictionary files to the box and cracked the md5 hash. Then I tried the password against the 2000 server box and it let me login as administrator. Simple.Took me 10 mins

rachel maddow is a very good host for her show and talks well, but constantly attacking her enemies doesn't always make good sense. They have to spend a lot of time surfing for some inconsistencies in the media. The failure of the demos doesn't help anything either. Constant mudslinging w/o looking at the whole issue stinks and that's why so many of these people fail. To have someone that really get the whole would be nice.

That said, Maddow is definitely the gold standard when it comes to political commentators. She is bright and intellectually honest. Only problem is she is hyper partisan. Her vitriol is almost exclusively aimed at the right. Its born out of expediency and ratings. The Right needs to be bashed they lie, they're foul..they deserve every bit. But the days of Murrow n Cronkite are gone.
