  • How did you tighten the belt? I have a feeling you did it the way I did it on my 1j, but just curious =) btw WICKED setup. Very nice Z 1car!

  • damn that engine bay is clean ass fuck

  • sick beat what song is it from and dope car

  • il manque juste le radia !!!!!

  • How were you able to do the swap? I've been looking for the mounts and other things for the swap but haven't had any luck. I have a '78 Datsun 280z, and I am trying to do the 2jz engine and transmission conversation. Any tips on how you did it?

  • Nice swap man, what song is that playing in the background, I like it.

  • if you go for displacement you need more room though in some cases that arguement is just stupid since they get the same power >.>

  • Did you guys make the crossmember for the swap ? If so how much? I need 1 for a 1jzgte into my 74 260

  • point should be a fucking 2jz motor in a nissan just ruined the car

  • why did u film this? that was so boring it's ridiculous

  • Does anyone know where i can get a 180Hp straight 6 or v6 engine that will fit the car, the one that i own is in the middle of being restored, the original engine was missing when i bought it.

(v6 preferable) i also need to know if there are any in Australia.

  • what was the smoke from when start up?

  • @baii3r that is just oil. It isn't uncommon on startup due to the rings not being seated, residue oil from assembly etc. As for holding the turbine on first startup, shouldn't use your hand, proper thing is to prime the oil system prior to even starting the engine. Not working with a jz block however, not sure how the pump is driven.

  • Bridgeliver, the reason he`s holding the turbine wheel in place is to let the turbo get oil pressure before spooling up for the first time. But from your general language i will assume that you are an idiot. And theres no problem running it without coolant for a little while. Its most likely the first startup, to check if the thing will actually run. Probably some shitty basemap too, but good enough to start it with, wich i think was the general point. Jesus christfuck people.

  • @MadMaxx570 exactly lol some ppl just like to fight even if they dont know

  • @MadMaxx570 I couldnt have said it better my self, i actually give these guys props for having something in that level.

  • wow thats really smart...

run an engine with no coolant..

and run a 2jz with a 100% vacuum leak thats really good...

can you say lean as fuck?

** and just idling or wide open, theres still about 2000* temps in the combustion chamber... theres no cooling fins or liquid to dissipate the heat so, yeah, theres a threat with the heat...

  • @dwnrety1 Have you even ever owned a vehicle with a 2JZ? I haven't, but I would think that like 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of other engines, it's safe to run it without coolant for a few minutes when it's cold, just to see if it will run. Which is EXACTLY what these guys are doing. So fuck off, idiot.

  • @brapboys503 do you know what 2000* can do to a cast iron block, or an aluminum head when there's nowhere for that heat to go?

I'd rather wait and hook shit up properly than run the risk of warping the head or blowing the headgasket. douchebag.. unless you have something useful to say dont even bother talking to me...

  • wow no radiator huh?

  • @Sonicku Engine was only idling, no real threat with heat and whatever

  • sick ride

    no intake exhaust yet? lol

  • Is it just me or does that motor sound like its lost compression on 1 cylinder, listen to it while cranking...

  • @redruM0381 cause there is no boost going through the motor to build compression

  • @kingman87se

That doesn't explain loss of compression on 1 cylinder.

  • @kingman87se you don't need boost to compress air because its called displacement, otherwise most of the cars on the road won't even run according to your statement.

  • @z06camaro

I don't know who posted that comment under my name. I don't type that way and it's a stupid statement... I've never seen this video before lol. I'm sure I left my account open on a friend's computer somewhere.

  • It's probably a ring that had not been seated yet. once it runs for a bit it'll get better im sure

  • @redruM0381 yur tripping bro , but wee all cant know forsure . i thought so too , but come on the motor is old , fuk the rebuilds !

  • @redruM0381 It;'s most likely a newly rebuilt engine, so will not have good compression on any cylinder at first.

  • @bridgeliver wow.....racist? lol

  • @elijahinky u loled do not lie to me

  • @bridgeliver I did, but then I was like, "damn, did he really say that??" lmao

  • @bridgeliver learn something about cars you cracker before you call go all racist on people.

  • @bridgeliver asshole

  • 70 cars deserve anything the owners give it moron! what the hell?? theres always a guy who talk shit about someone else on here just cuz they aint doin better. or is it because theyre black??? WOW! NICE CAR GUYS! KEEP IT UP!

  • 70s cars deserve 70s music

  • must he have is paws in the inlet.....what the fuck t pain

  • not good to run it without any type of cooling system that long...very nice swap though :)

  • @jdoggydog567 sure for all that time and $ that they have a temp Gauge

  • @IRONSEAN7 Yea I guess lol...bad ass swap though

  • nice man i want ma 2jz to look like that

  • love that set up invisible ic piping and radiators hoses

  • thats fucking clean

  • Looks very neat...how did you achieve that...wheres all the wires?

  • Actually he probably is holding the turbo from spinning until the oiling system pushes through everything. It's very easy to do on a big turbo.

  • @mdmyers7206 finally someone who knows what hes talking about! hell yea man these fags dont know shit on these posts.

  • wow that sits in there perfectly

  • y end the fuck was he holdin the turbin wheel what a dumg ass

  • @0spaceboy Learn to spell before taking the piss!

  • @pimpdaddydarren eat a dick fagg i didn't spell shit wrong

  • he isn't holding anything, his fist is in front of the turbo to see if it is working and sucking in air, notice how there is no intercooler piping yet?

  • @0spaceboy

idk but probably for a good reason. do you own a shop?

im guessin cuz they didnt know what was going to happen so they waited until it started then checked the oil pressure or some shit. make sure the turbo was gettin oil so they didnt fuck up a turbo

  • @0spaceboy Its just anouther way of priming the turbo of oil....

  • @meet07 oh ok i see

  • their selling this car right now in florida. ima buy it

  • o shit nvrmnd u got it all on the forums fucking nice!

  • im interested in how the engine lined up and which tranny you used because this is my dream engine in my dream car this is a setup i amgoing to make in my lifetime

  • so much room in the bay. haha but that will be one sick datsun

  • ill post the vid here so u can c it

  • i dont think they were not trying to break it in. if they were, there would be no such thing as 2nd attempt, although cranking so oil wil flw through line to oil inlet is proper. 2nd, ther is no reason to stick your hand in the turbo inlet. besides that, its a nice clean swap with the correct engine offset 3/4 to passenger side like factory would position.

  • why do you dry start it??

  • can someone please explain why T Pain has his hands in the inlet of the turbo? i'm doing the same swap in my 74 260z also, the engine is a sr40gtte type R for racing!

  • you do this with a new turbo to allow good oil flow before it starts to spin. part of a proper break in

  • Comment removed

  • so i heard T Pain had his hands in the inlet....T Pain vs compressor vanes...t pizzle it is.

    nice engine soul brotha

  • thats not even a 2jz its a 4 cylinder twin cam

  • i count 6 coilpacks, might wanna get your eyes checked there jknight4eveR

  • that is a 2jz if ever I've seen one

  • If thats not a 6 cyl they have 2 extra intake and exhaust runners.

  • lol you fail

  • is it stock bottom end?

  • Mad props to nick & justin very cool dudes,

ya there running it without a radiator if you knew anything about swaping a car you always dry start it.

  • nice man i am doing the same thing but in an 89 pick up with t67 wht tranny u got

  • is it just me or are they running that engine without any coolant or other cooling system

  • doesnt matter till it hits the thermostats opening temp. doubt they let it get that warm. i can idle my car for 8 min before its "warmed up"...

  • ....are they running it without a radiator....

  • Hybrid motorsports has done it again with a new true hybrid, A supra powered 260z these guys do not play around. They are the best place to go for engine swaps because they do right the first time!!

  • where are they located?
