I will never forget the first time I saw Peter Nero perform - - it was at Lincoln Center, New York - - 1965 - -
The first half he Conducted and played with the New York Philharmonic - -the second half he played with his own jazz group.
I have been a huge fan ever since - - have most all of her recordings - -and have been fortunate enough to see/hear him many times in Concert. The last time was March 2007 in Palm Desert, California, with the Desert Symphony, which he also Conducted.
Still the best. Only hope these videos reach a new generation of viewers. Any kid practicing on the keyboard today could find a world of inspiration in this. Go.
With Dave Brubeck? he is from the Dave Brubeck Trio with songs as Take Five, Blue Rondo etc... great musician.

This is just silly.
He's in his 70's! He has no business playing with that much, technique, energy and imagination.
Since the early 1960's I have been amazed and delighted by almost every note of Peter Nero's music that he has given to the public.
He remains an American treasure.
