wow ur character's stats seem to be extremeley low to me. My Lightning is 650+ total stats(besides hp)

and you dont use rav/rav/sen a.k.a. mystic tower?

and i recommend using sazh, because he's got the offensive boost. And has haste which is awesome.

There is a very small window where you can stagger him before the transformation and he will not be able to attack you.

@damon3011 its really not thanks to the job switching mid-battle but i can see how it looks confusing by just watching but the battle system is really fun and easy to get used too

It's a brilliant battle system. Yes it is hard, but it isn't hard because you are confused at what to do, your fingers are always moving rapidly. Fighting a battle in FFXIII is as easy as breathing to me.

Easy to use, but the foes are hard.

He was a tough boss, but I was able to take him out. 20 minute fight, but I feel it was because I was so bloody underpowered. When staggered, I could only take out about a third of his HP. It got really intense when I realized he was actually healing when he had about 20% left, and risked a low HP Lightning to stagger him again to take him out. He was a worthy boss, too.

This boss fight was hardest so far. The Eidolons were confusing, and the big boss fights were strong, but easy to plan a strategy. Cid Raines was a tough SoB. He steals your buffs and shit, and when I libra-ed him, it said he plans attacks according to YOUR paradigms.
