the Director or cameraman has NO IDEA of how to show a performance.

Too bad when it's so brilliant.

Too bad the visuals are no where equal to the musicianship.

Director;

"Yeah, he's doing a solo section; I know! Let's move the camera around a post from a distance...it's SO David Lean."
