Thanks for your comments. I think Spinoza's viewpoint is much better served by reading his own works. I am not discouraging anyone from reading the book you recommend, but you will find a deep regard for Christ if you read Spinoza's original works. I think it's always a good practice, in any case, to compare the source to interpretations of the source.
