  • Nobody can stop anybody from commenting.. But everybody can just IGNORE a negative comment and don't even reply to it.. It stops there and then.

Y even be bothered about what others comment and feel obligated to justify every single thing in this world.. We know in our heart this young man will go a long way.. that's all we need to know. We do not need to justify =D

  • He's a GREAT guitar player.Love this song for ever...

  • he's awesome

  • Awesome the best guitar i have seen, he awesome the best in the world. :)

  • <3<3

  • you played one of the best song ever by CARPENTERS ..AWESOME KID VERY TALENTED ....

  • like this kid. My favourite song, he plays extrremely good.

  • É puro talento!!! Parabéns!!!

  • Yes, very nice song! Cooool!!

  • this was my favorite song for sooooo long

  • sha la la la

  • lol the sound is bright because he has a capo on 3. He probly has a lighter gauge string as well. I watched all of Sung' s vids and im sure he had intentions on making this song sound the way it does, considering he writes his own arrangements. Once again Sung u nail it bro, keep up the good work.

  • This isnt his arrangement

  • "The jealousy is strong in this one."

  • ihihihih! yes kinda ^^

  • I like that , that's awesome . but i hope you can try out classical Guitar . it will sound better with this song . I like you very much kid .

  • it's exactly what im thinking!

  • sounds like he just had new strings put on it, too much ring in it. Could be the mic though

  • He plays quite well and so young!

But the sonority of his guitar is simply awful.

  • i agree with you... usually his guitar sounds a lot better than this. i think he had the treble too high or something

  • The sound may look like this because from the Camera. that's why , And if the person was close to sungha. then that would make it even worse for the sound lol. the people in the back won't hear the sound like this.

  • i think its cuz his guitar is plugged to the amp, sometimes amps mess up the sound a lil bit

  • Absolutely Brilliant

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • This song is wonderful, and the way he plays it enhances it's value by a great ammount. Keep going my friend.

  • nice classic song ! love it

  • 12,KOREA

  • the sound of his guitar is too metallic..

  • So taleneted!

  • Excellent! That is live and the sound proves it. I will never achieve that! But this does have the live sound! But if the audio was recorded direct from the soundboard it would be perfect! Sorry for doubting you!

  • i relai like the way u play guitar it feels like the guitar is singing..:) relai great keep it up ya..welll done..

  • i love the part wherehe did the harmonics!!^^

  • so much passion when he plays...you are really good, u make me want to learn how to play the guitar

He's awesome!! CheerS!!! you should have a big concert around the world LOL!!!

  • how do you know that?

  • Under notice 3: the fourth paragraphs on his page states "I used to not have tabs for the music that I played in my videos. I just listen and pick them up directly from the sound source in videos available on the internet. However, recently, I have started playing with original tabs whenever they are available to me by courtesy of the authors."

  • i wish i was as good as him lol

  • Great talent!

You have miracle ear, huge memory on your brain

You already grduate copy other videos on youtube.

I want to see your original-style arrangement& original songs.

  • You should check out all his videos before asking. "Voyages with Ulli" and "Missing You" are two of his original compositions. "Fields of Gold" is one of his arrangements.

  • Sorry, I forgot words 'more'.

  • You're so good at playing the guitar!

  • very appropos ... and yes we've just begun.

  • also .. i have a question ..

why did you choose the screen name .. jwcfree .. ?

i think its rather amusing that my initials are jw for Jeff Williams

i can guess why you choose the "free" part .. freedom always seems illusive even in the best of situations.

what does the jwc stand for ?

  • jeez just wonderful .. i WISH i had the headstart that sungha has. He's so very awesome at such a very young age.

Congratulations to him for his hard work, persisance and good study habits.

Also .. much thanks to Sungha's Parents and Guitar Teacher

    YOU ROCK ..

    Sincerely

    Jeff Williams / Guitarist

  • capo420420: I bow to you, sir, for making it a point to praise and encourage a young person for his efforts to learn serious music and for working hard to achieve something worthwhile. Your words mean more than most, since you yourself are a serious professional.

Unfortunately Sungha, like many who are achieving success, has attracted jealousy and hatred from those who will never equal him. The racism reflected in many comments is tragic.

So, encouragement from you is even more important.

  • There is no 11 yr old who is equal him or better. He's 11 FGS. He's only been playing like 2 yrs. Compare him to some people who have been playing 10 yrs..or their whole life. Most of them can't get close to that. None of us have seen a 11 yr old play this good.

  • My son is way better, but he's not born yet. Until there this boy rocks!

  • "Most of them can't get close to that. None of us have seen a 11 yr old play this good."

Thanks for proving my point. If you're that interested, go do some searching. There are always youngin's out there that play instruments very well for their age and considered a prodigy to some.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing him he's a great player and noticing that he's improving over time. Just realize that some of these comments come from people who don't understand anything outside of school.

  • Excuse me? Why should I do any researching? Why don't YOU give me an example of a kid his age who can play as good as he can? You make is sound like this is nothing special. So please back up your statement by giving me proof.

  • if you want me to point out some. here's just some youtube stuff. search: 4yo music prodigy Shuan Hern Lee Plays Waltz by Beethoven. - Hannah plays Chopin Nocturne #20 in C Sharp Minor. - Chopin ValseNo14:Japanese 8yo play piano - 12 year old violin prodigy!!!!! - 11 year old violin virtuoso plays Paganini - Ladusa 10y old violinist - Vivaldi winter violin concerto - 8-Year-Old Guitar Prodigy Stuns Audiences

like I said, sungha's a good player, not hard to believe when he's passionate about it.

  • They are all good, but I still think Sungha is incredible dude, especially the fact that Sungha has amazing control...and the way he plays with so much emotion. His Andy Mckee covers are better than any of those done by adults. I also do not think it's necessary to really being up the fact that there are other prodigies because what is great is that we love Sungha and we're not interested in other kids at the moment. :-)

  • while i agree that there will always be kids who are capable of far more than we imagine possible, i think the difference with sungha is that he appears to be capable with the instrument. He posts new videos with new songs at a pace of once per week. In most of those other prodigy cases they appear to be a one and done sort of deal. Kind of the same thing with funtwo. Sungha clearly enjoys playing and he knows the ins and outs of his instrument.

  • I agree with ur point and those kids are amazing but they are playing songs that are normal HARD songs but he is playing musics that is supposed to be played with more than 1 guitar but he is doing it with one not many cannot do that in the WORLD

I agree with ur point but he started guitar when he was 10 so the vid right now is when he was 12 or 11. I am not criticizing u but just telling some facts that i know

  • Excuse me? You need to learn about guitars more and different forms of playing it. The style that he plays is more a classical / finger picking style where you're playing the bass, rhythm, and the melody together. Check out a guy named Kotaro Oshio and Trace Bundy, they're professionals that plays this style well.

I also know when he started, and that he's gotten professional classical guitar lessons. Classical guitarists are crazy with their instruments. ^^

  • also he was not taught like most prodigies

  • he took classical guitar lessons... -_-

  • sorry to annoy u but one more thing like other pordogies he learned everything through by listening and watchind. He also memorizes everything and does not look at the music

  • these songs have patterns, once you learn the patterns you don't need a music sheet. Sungha Jung probably practiced alot before he posts them up. And yes, he knows his instrument enough that he can learn by listening to a song a number of times and trying to copy it, a very good skill at his age, but it's a normal skill to have as a professional musician which he might be inspiring to be.

  • last week he said in public media that he didnt take lesson and my point is hte way he plays guitar it makes more than just guitar sounds and not many people can do that u need to admit that

  • he just knows waht to play by hearing

  • he started getting lessons VERY recently.. before, he taught himself by watching these youtube videos

  • My daily practice routine lasts for one to two hours when school is open, but I play up to three hours a day during the school breaks.

It usually takes me two to three days to practice and videotape a new piece but sometimes up to a week for more difficult ones.

  • practice makes perfect, sungha jung is an example of it.

  • oh yeah?? how old are you? show us some videos then. i think this kid is born with it. i don't think you can force any 3-5 yrs old kid to pick up the guitar and start playing. obviously it is also the kids passion. He is 10 yrs. old and by far superior to any guitar player from 10 to 20 and he will only get better.

  • Born with what? You believe in pre-destination and God decided already who's going to hell and who's going to heaven?

That comment was as ignorant as yours. I kinda like showing you there's other kids that can play. Search the following: Lucciano Pizzichini 7 YEAR OLD GUITAR MASTER, 8 year old guitar God, 6 year old plays barrios Valse Opus 8 No 4.

    Accounts: bardc001, mattrach

Just because you don't practice properly enough at a young age don't say everyone else doesn't. ages 10 to 20, lol?

  • nothing to do with religion, einstein. again you said it. there are others...meaning only few of them that are gifted. you did not answer my question. how old are you? show us you video. let see if your 3 hrs a day, 21 hrs a week, 84 hrs a month, 1008 a year of practice paid off, beethoven! ha ha ha

  • Your asking for personal information which I don't have divulge to you, and if you don't mind, please stop asking. It is personal information. Just to give you an idea of my age, I already have a career in a different field, I come home at 1 a.m. almost every night, sleep at 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. The way you speak I'm pretty sure you're oblivious to life outside of school. There are incredible guitar players in this world, but they're not all superstars or even known. Good thing youtube helps.

  • oh yeah, waking up at 9 a.m and coming home at 1 a.m means I don't have time to practice anymore. I'm lucky to touch my guitars 3-4 times a month because when I'm not working, I'm busy with things that more important or find better ways to unwind. I do write progressions now and then just for fun, but I'm not looking into a career for music. I did for about a year, but then musicians make no money unless you hit it big.

  • sure i won't ask for your guitar demo anymore. i just did not like your comment that "anybody can do this". i was in a band from 1987 to 1995 but i'm not ashamed to admit that i don't come close to this boy's talent. i respect him for that. that is also one of the reasons, why i decided to take a career in programming and graduated suma cum laude. now i owned a small IT company here in ca. hats off to you for working those long hours. any hard working man deserves respect as long as it is legal.

  • Ah, yeah, I write that stuff because it seriously irks me when people say that someone can't play a certain style or way when they've never even tried it seriously. I've had bad experiences in couple of bands and quit because of it (no passion). Also people saying that he's just 11 won't impress me, only his playing will. I honestly do like sungha's playing ability, but I also believe he should to improve as well, I never once said he sucked because he doesn't.

  • What I was trying to get at by saying "anybody can do this" was, "Just go practice this style of music" Here's why...

    1. You'll understand it more

    2. You might like playing it (I've practiced a while back two songs that I kinda still remember)

    3. Certain things aren't as hard as you might think it is, like playing melody and rhythm at the same time.

    4. All fingerstyle songs have patterns, if you try playing and not just listen to it, you'll find out that most songs have 3 or 4 repeating parts.

  • just wanted to share what I consider to be an amazing performance from a guitarist using fingerstyle. Music is about emotion.

    search:

John Butler Trio - Ocean (Live at Federation Square)

  • you are too gay, hopezer0 , he can play 100 songs from his head, so stfu HOE

  • omg i really don't want to get into the middle of this fight but plz can u take it somewhere else? seriously there's ppl on this site who just want to listen to his music and with all these curses and stuff on the comment page...it's seriously ruining my mood

so please...stop fighting!! all of you! i know i sound like a retard and will get like bad ratings for saying i don't even know what but reallyy...just stop

  • also one thing that seperates him from others is that his style of playing (fingerstyle), he's not playing rock or what not like everyone else is, little to no competition. This style isn't popular, or you'd know more about John Butler, Trace Bundy, Kotaro Oshio, so on so forth. I'm wondering if you even know the people's names I just typed out.

  • he got his lesson from his dad

  • Thank you for sharing your gift.

  • Can you post some Sting songs?

  • Keep going, you may be as good as legendary James Taylor one day! :)

  • wow~ perfect.

he's grown and he got more stability.

im so happy to see new performance.

    keep it up~

  • wow he grew alot.you have a good future ahead

    of you keep playing.

  • i hope he can still be able to play like a normal child. bravo!

  • I can absolutely always, 100% without fail, stop by Sungha's channel to listen to one of his performances and know that before the clip is done, I will be smiling.

Thank you so much for allowing his gift to be shared with the world.

  • You must be so proud of your son :)

  • Gosh, so young and talented!

I'd love to see you perform one day. =)

  • Wow, he's grown so much since the older videos! And he's become very handsome! =D

And his playing technique is just getting better and better. You have a very bright future ahead of you Sungha boy! We will support you all the way!

  • Wow! Amazing performance!

  • I can see he is growing older and his playing only gets better! Keep up the posts! We love your music!
