Thanks for this. I've been messing with the tune for a few hours and I'd like to add something that to my ears sounds better than that Cmaj7 you use. I suggest an Amin7 (x-x-7-9-8-8). An A minor is the relative minor of the C major so technically they both work. But to my ears the Cmaj sounds dull. The Amin7 I suggest sounds punchier and more pronounced. Thanks again for the lesson.
very good lesson easy to follow -you are a very good teacher. i look forward to more. i like the way you go just at the right pace and understand the difficulties we might have with new chords by offering alternatives or placing it in reference to a more familiar chord like you did with the B7 /E9 example. thanks i enjoyed it - onto part 2!
Hey! Nice tutorial! Sounds really good :o) Just a few comments... Might be easier to use your thumb to play the bass?? AKA John Mayer style?? I find it a bit easier :o) Also, the "E Jimi Hendrix Chord" is an E7 flat 3rd (E7b3), i.e the root (E), Major third (G#), Minor seventh (D), with an added Minor third interval (G) on top... Yeah, Im a chord geek :P
hey could you please send me the fret play for your moondance. I mean so it looks like
e----5------
b----5------
g----5------
d------7----
a------7----
e----5------
or however it goes. I'm just learning now... so the easier the better. Each number would be the fret and each line the string. Anyways if you could help it would be greatly appreciated. thats it lmao
This is really great for me. I've had trouble finding a reliable version of it anywhere and this is great. Really easy to learn from as well so thanks. :P
dont pick youre nose with your fret hand cos it erodes the strings if you dont wipe it off corrcetly .plus dont put your plectrum in your mouth if you pick with your wanking eh i mean strumming hand lol ..kidding ..awesome tutorial
Cheers for actually putting in the effort to play this in the correct key. Too many hacks are on youtube playing in the wrong key trying to teach. You explained it well without showing off . I'm officially stealing this arrangement for future gigs...
