  • @tigerak02: So you are the group he was talking about. Haha. Welcome to hell. If you survive I will be impressed. You will have to start bulking. If you don't you will fail unless you lower the pre-1RM. With blenderate as a training partner, you'll grow just from watching him squat. Best of hard training!

  • @tigerak02: Some medium singles would be okay. But don't worry, you are a sumo lifter, so you won't lose any deadlifts strength while on Smolov. Good luck, it is brutal. I have done the entire routine twice for back squats, and the smolov base meso only many times. The first time I did it I was about to die..

  • you will get a super grip with these power holds, I'm sure :-) have you ever tried to do this grip exercise without deadlifting? I can only imagine how much weight it would be load XD

  • I've done very heavy rack lockouts before, I think these are by far more effective. I have also done rope pull-ups and heavy dumbbell rows, but they aren't nearly as effective as doing a full deadlift at the top for time.
