Motorola defy is the best, i have it since 7 months and all the summer i have put it in water, in the pool, sea, and every weekend when i am partying i put it in Alcohol ( vodka , beer, whiskey ) and it still works perfectly! its the best phone :)

Yesterday just before the end of a long train ride the battery of my defy was down. I looked arround at all the other people in the train, with their little Phone cases or leather bags. And I once again really appreciated my defy. Thanks Motorola for music in the shower, navigation in the rain, harmless phone drops, pictures at the beach, thanks for this wonderful phone! It could use a dualcore though. And please, please do continue to make such outstanding hardware despite the google purchase!

@Luinwethion1 Thanks for the love.... so to answer your question, the phone was really designed to be life proof against the odd accidents of spillages, dropped in the sink, puddle etc. It wasn't designed to be water proof or a phone you go swimming with. Technically its possible to take a video and photo underwater with the device and there are youtube users that have done this, but we do not recommend this and such abuse could invalidate the warranty. Hope that clarifies.

@motorola Did this yesterday. Smaller than my HTC HD2 ... WHICH KEEPS BREAKING DOWN - NOW BRICKED. Scared of the unconventional, oversized screeen pixels... but ok - most 3rd party will not show the extra pixels.

Liked the standard microUSB, so some accessories from my other gear will fit ok. Don't trust ur waterproof et
