  • Why white instead of green?

  • Shaheen tha man

  • Shaheen Soorani was my goddamn history teacher.

  • @inuyasha1a He IS my history teacher :D!

  • KHALINI GARDEN!!! Big brofist to you mate, I love it when using Rhys, the Redeemed.

As for the Leyline, it's ok, wouldn't mull into it if you got a decent play condition in hand.

  • What kind of format did he play in with that deck?

  • Kinda miss the sand spur.

  • This guy is awesome!

  • I like how this guy says caw blade is cute. He is a little retarted

  • @julianwerules why do you think darkblade and sparkblade exist? sometimes just U/W isn't enough.

  • @gameguru42392 But they are both to unstable that is why U/W does better in tournaments and spark blade can't even make top 16 of a grand prix I don't know why thats a deck.

  • I bet he's feeling pretty silly after saying he doesn't like Squadron Hawk in control.

  • @SMGstring This was before Stoneforege/Feast and Famine was playable in control, right? The equipment is the only reason hawks are good.

  • @teliots Caw Go was already a deck at this point. It had been spoiled days before the event. Remove Stoneforge and Hawks still have various uses in any deck running Jace. They are card advantage which blue LOVES. They are a shuffle effect which brainstorm LOVES. They are also 2 cards to put on top with brainstorm and get right back which is even MORE card advantage which just about any deck...well you get the idea.

  • @SMGstring

Yeah Squadron Hawk is pretty good... if you already have a Jace on the board and are activating it every turn...

IMO that is win-more, and Hawk is only worthwhile if you are running equipment in your deck. I can't remember if Feast and Famine was released yet when this video was made.

  • @teliots Deck thinning for more consistent draws, chump blockers to protect any planeswalker (not just jace) and buying you time while you save up mana to land a big threat....sounds like a TERRIBLE control card to me. /sarcasm

  • @SMGstring Yeah same here. You can get a lot lot better for 8 mana.

  • This guy's deck is brilliant. I never would have thought of some of these combos.

  • y is everyone getting on him for his comment about Squadron Hawk. it's not a win condition. Caw Go wins because of it's plains walkers and control. lets not forget that when the deck was designed SH was the only creature in it. it didn't become and overpowered deck until the addition of Gideon Jura and other cards thats what sped the deck up to put the deck out front. We are all entitled to opinions but lets remember he write articles and get paid to do this.plus he is in the pt

  • This guy seems like the biggest douche in magic

  • "Yeah i dont like squadron hawk in control" talk about eating your words.

  • more cute than effective? why your not in the top 8? caw go won the pro tour and the player of the year. how come its not effective?

  • "Ive found them more cute than effective." That's why Caw-Go came in first due to its "cuteness". Nice

  • Yea I said em, short for them I know elspeth is a girl :). And I 100% agree and love the feedback! I hate that leyline and it cost me multiple matches day 2

  • Dude Elspeth is a girl!

  • I can't believe this guy thinks Preordain is bad in control. It's just plain amazing in any deck with a high curve. I would say it's probably better in UB than in UW, but still. I play it in RUG, and it helps SO much, especially early game. Also, I would say Leyline seems way too janky, but maybe it depends on the meta.

  • people dont realize that all your other creatures are out of your deck when you play squadron hawk once.

  • @rayjinn9 Squadron Hawk reads " up to three " not " exactly three " or anything like that, so commonly you play Squadron Hawk to search for one or two of them.

  • Leyline, ultimately, isn't worth it. does it save you from the duress/IOK bullshit? sure, but if you have it in your opening seven it's essentially 6 playables... and a leyline. if you mulligan yourself into it, it's 4 or 5 playables.... and a leyline. ultimately, you want that card to be more business.

  • Honestly BDM, you need to stop holding the deck, and flashing cards once at a time. Just lay the deck down on the table like Randy did, it's so much easier for all of us to see, and see the deck as a whole.

  • @billtomfactor He does it so people during the tournament don't watch the video and get the deck. It's to keep the exact list private.

  • more decks with blue and white. i thought there were other colors as well.

  • Apparently Elspeth is a He.

  • then he says "he shines a lot more"

  • For Shaheen, I have the same dillemma with Leyline. Excellent if you start with it(hopefully not in multiples, unless Valukut/Acidic Slime is the matchup) but lackluster any time later. I look at it like this: Vs Potential burn ala Valukut, you can keep the first hand if you dont see it, long as you have a counter/sweeper for Primeval Titan. When Facing UB or vamps, where they may chain discard you 2 or 3 turns in a row, mulling to 6 to see if you get it isnt bad, but any more and it may fail.

  • I can respect that deck.

  • shaheen playing preordian....

  • lol shawns at it again

he better hand me that deck when he gets home

  • @jimmyboy513 lol Jimmy. play testing went really well and i'm really curious what he lost to first round (shawn's gf in his account ftw)

  • elspeth's a chick dude

  • @thetikia2 I think Shaheen is saying "Hit'em" and "I love'em", so them, rather than him.

  • @thetikia2 I think he meant "them," not "him"

  • @thetikia2 its just a card dude who cares

  • @thetikia2 like justin beiber!

  • @thetikia2 so elspeth is a chude?

  • 'I love him' referring to Elspeth Tirel... oops. =p

  • @Mightypoo007 I think he said "I love 'em."

  • @K33ng he did :) he said " 'em " referring to multiple, not just one card.

  • @shawnsoorani He called her a man. This isn't uncommon in the Magic community.

  • @shawnsoorani love you brohem. From your friend, the one you call Chinaman

  • @K33ng

No. 'Yeah I love 'm. I like 'm in the control deck as well, so. In this deck HE shines more.

He said HE. It doesn't sound right. =p

  • Ah.. a blue deck... Is there anything better?

  • @mikeyk159 Yea. A not-blue deck

  • @mikeyk159 kuldotha red

  • @mikeyk159 Maybe a niiice MLT (Mutton Lettuce and Tomato?) when the mutton's niiice and lean, but that's not what he said!. (All positive feedback should be directed to Princess Bride) What can I say? I love all things Magical, card game or no card game.
