@XAntssX It was released on February 18th, 2010 as Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition in the West and as Biohazard 5 Alternative Edition in Asia (only for the PS3, the 360 got the new content as DLC). It's basically RE5 with new content (which was also released as DLC in both consoles on February and March of this year). This trailer shows the new chapter called Lost In Nightmares that takes place in 2006 with Jill and Chris.

@XAntssX There's also another chapter called "Desperate Escape" which stars Jill and Josh, takes place right after you free Jill from the P30 device.

Add to that a new mode called The Mercenaries Reunion with characters such as Barry, Rebecca, Excella and Josh + new costumes for Chris and Sheva, Versus mode, new extra figurines, and the support of the Playstation Move.

Totally worth it. I recommend anyone who hasn't played RE5 yet to get this version instead of the original release.

I'm dispointed of this version because It is more a marketing project than a real "addon". The alternate scenarion is short, there is only one type of monster that looks like a grim reaper, the catacomb part has nothing to do in a manor, ... The only thing wich is cool that is when you start in the manor with chris and Jill like in RE1 ! I bought this version only for this and when i finished it i was like "wtf this is only this !" It doesn't worth 50euros at all !

You can get this version (in the rest of the world known as Gold Edition) for the 360 which comes with the disc + download tokens for all the new content (2 new episodes, costume packs, mercenaries reunion characters, etc.) However, you'd still need an internet connection to download the content, the PS3 version of RE5 Gold Edition is the only one that has all the new content inside the disc.

Can you carry your xbox 360 to a friend's house and download the new content from there?

WOW, I know where that version is going. To a cutscene that shows Jill, Chris and Wesker fighting, and when Chris almost gets killed, Wesker gets tackled out the window by Jill, who goes with him. She returns for RE5. I didn't know about RE5 Gold edition though.

Yep, this episode "Lost In Nightmares" and Costume Pack 1 come out as DLC on February 17th (360) /18th (PSN).

There's another new episode called "Desperate Escape" and Costume Pack 2 coming out 2 weeks later as DLC on March 3rd (360)/4th (PSN).

All these pieces of DLC include "The Mercenaries Reunion" characters (a new Mercs. mode) and extra figures.

Alternatively you can buy a disc version called "Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition" that has all the DLCs (even Versus) in the bluray. If you buy the 360 version you get a disc with the original game + a code to reedem the new content for free in the Live Marketplace.

It has 2 new escenarios (with 3/4 chapters each), the one in the trailer is "Lost In Nightmares". It's coming in in the west as "Gold Edition" for the 360 and PS3 on March 9th. However the new content will be available earlier as DLC packs, the first one is on February 17th/18th (Xbox Live/PSN) and the other one is on March 3rd/4th.

See this is what I hate about video games and DLCs. Why can't they plan ahead of time so they can release that and the DLCs together. Nope, instead they wait for the product to be finished and sold then add on to that to get even more money. I'm pissed that this and Versus couldn't just be one bundle along with Resident Evil 5.
