I had this game back in the day. It was pretty cool that I was the only one in school that had a NEO GEO. I picked one up from a video game store that was going under in Westmount Mall in London, ON. The store had all the different video game systems and you could pay so much and play them right there in the store.

i have a feelin i may have played this on the ps1 , but if it wasnt a direct port , it was definately a very similar game to this.

but anyways , i like the style of the game and the enemies are interesting looking. music is also cool :)

@TheLumberjackass If you have played the PS1 version, I hope it was easier than the Neo Geo version, because the difficulty in this one is ramped up way hard. Anyways hope you feeling good today buddy.

yeah , as far as i can remember , it was pretty hard but i like games that are challenging . although saying that , level 4 of r-type does my head in and it makes me give up rather easily , lol . but still , i do enjoy the challenge :)

ahh!! i love viewpoint . i remember my old man purchasing the nepgeo mvs cart i was blowen away i used to sneak in to his store just to play this gem..god those were the good old days ..lol this games got an awesome sound track cool vid as always

@narox yeah ..i used to sneak in like around 12-1 a.m when my old man was asleep grab my sony headphones ..go over there with some diet coke and play up until 5 a.m ..had to get back because he would get up at 6 a.m and i didn't want to get busted and start school at 7:30 am. and at lunch time i would fall asleep in 1990 vw golf my friends thought i was getting drunk or get high but i had a really bad case of gamerforia blew my money on aes carts lol those were the days ..lol neogeo 4 life

I like this game because of the very fact that you mention it resembles Zaxxon. Sadly i never saw it in the arcades but did play the PS1 home port.

@jboypacman Yeah buddy, there's variations of this game in other concoles, there is a PS1 version but I never played that.

1! 2! 3! 4! HIT IT! I was never good at this game growing up, the isometric view used to throw me off. The metaillic insects were cool, kinda remind of Darius and the metallic fish and sea creatures.

I think this was the game you told me about when I was mentioning the difficulty of Last Resort. It looks to me like a super souped up version of a Sega Master System game called "Zaxxon" and it DOES look as hard as you mentioned!

@Amisbro Why they make some Neo Geo games extremely hard. Are they gearing this game for the minority one percentile hardcore players that can finish this game? Economically it does not make sense. Anyways Aloha Brada!

This is one of those games I'd like to have for the Neo Geo AES if I ever find it for a decent price. It has some of the most memorable music to me.
