@Iriska1986100 Well, there are some very noticeable differences instruments-wise: For instance, Nightwish are fond of maximalist orchestral scores, with slightly reduced emphasis on the band's intruments, whereas Amberian Dawn tend to have all instruments playing all the time, with little or no orchestral elements at all. Plus Amberian Dawn tend to be a bit faster and/or more energetic. However, I do like both!

@StormyCruger I doubt you'll find ANYTHING about Venus Meadow. You may as well just look for In This Moment. But In This Moment is NOT similar to this band. For that, go for Nightwish, Edenbridge, and, to a lesser extent, Visions of Atlantis. (The second being my favorite of the bunch)

No worries Twigleaf, I found them on the RB2 RBN. I have all of their songs. And looking them up on here led me to other bands of the same type. Personally I started with Valkyries. Also check out Van Canto...they do a couple Metallica, Maiden and Nightwish covers acappela style (I know I spelled that wrong)

I discovered their music on RB3 RN DLC actually. They have about 10 or so up for dlc and I grabbed them all as they are some of the best on ALL of RB songs ( yes, I break stress with a plastic toy guitar even at 37 ), and they are great for a metal rock opera sound, some of the guitar parts are quite difficult too. I am a fan just from that alone, and I dont get to listen to music much. Start with Snowmaiden if you dlc any, I think its the easiest of the 2 album samples they have up.

I really dislike bands that use operatics like this. I can never get into it, no matter how hard I try. I keep searching for bands in this genre that I like, but I can;t find anything I like. I really like Black, Thrash and Death metal, and punk, hardcore, power-violence etc. I even enjoy a lot of folk and neo folk, noise and experimental music.

I am English, but since I travelled to Finland, I hsve been intorduced to some incredible bands! I have been a fan of Nightwish all my life, but I've found Epica, Sirenia, Leaves' Eyes, Amberian Dawn, Indica, Aeryon and many others. I love this music, there is so much power, passion, and beauty that simply can not be achieved with rubish like rap and R 'n' B. (P.s Cheek is the worst music artist ever)
