god this is great. sure the song is great, but this guy made made a video (probably on next to no budget) that actually has something to do with the music -- the music and images work together to make something cooler than the sum of the parts. (just check out the cool transition at 1:50). why can't all music videos do that? that's very little real artistry involved in big budget videos. maybe that's why everybody's completely sick of them.

i heard this was a couple of butthole surfers and maybe some other folk. anyone know which butthole surfers who whether there's anyone else noteworthy here? i think i hear paul leary on guitar but my ears may deceive. regardles, better than P or GH and his problem, but not as good as leary's history of dogs and obviously doesn't compare to BHS

This has been flagged as spam show
probablly the worst album sub pop released the year it came out. this band is a critical darling in seattle yet seems artistically contrived and is unable to explore minimalism and dissonance under any lense other than that of painfully predictable song structure and 'mysterious' muting of their vocals.

Yeah...I second toddski. Black Forest is one of the most thematically SOLID albums I've heard in a long time.
