  • Some sound advice there! I'm always learning from these videos! I didn't even know about the prince's trust and I'm supposed to be a business studies student ha ha!

  • lol, tut tut. I hope i get a credit in your next uni paper...lol Thanks for the support mate.

  • There are other ways that you can start up a mobile dj/disco business.

If you got a bit of money, do a little research and find out where potential clients go to look for a dj. Then save up some cash and buy ad space or banner ads on those directories and then prospective clients will hit you up for business. In Canada the standard practice is a 50% downpayment. And since people usually hire djs months or even years in advance you can raise enough to buy the gear you will need n U can Rent.

  • Brilliant advice trax, thanks for your advice and comments I know it will be of help.

    Thanks again mate.

  • Nice video si real good advise and the companys u said and banks can be very helpful its so good to have some one like your self sharing information with the community

  • good idvice mate as always ,,tops

  • £2000 - Your own money

Lighting rig, CD decks/laptop, sound system.

I don't like the sound of "Business Plans", The Bank are NOT DJ's...The Princess Trust are NOT DJ's.

They may be saying 300 pounds is expensive for a mixer, but what do they know...

    Nothing!

Sorry to sound strict, but just stating the facts..lol

  • The princes trust have mentors that are working DJ's so they can help you and advise you. So they will be able to give sensible and "real" advice.

  • Max your so far from the facts.

Granted using your own money is the easiest option. But its not always the best,Also if you need more money its a great way to get a disco business up and running.

£300 for a mixer is very expensive for a mobile disco, There is lots of mixers around under £100 thats more than capable of doing the job.

Sorry dude but by your comment you come across as all the gear no idea.

  • Good info man!!!

  • Hey thanks for the comment mate
